Started out being able to play just fine, but it seems as though I will never be allowed to play this game ever again due to ongoing technical issues.  I certainly would like to.

This all started today while I was standing by the phone booth in Apollyon on Recursion changing my outfit in my inventory.  I switched to a different tab in my inventory and my graphics have been screwed ever since.  Also happens when I try to look in my inventory in the loading area.

Sometimes if I'm just walking around it's ok, but this makes the game pretty useless.

  Clickclack-clickclack-clickclack-clickclack-clickclack...

The sound of the subway car speeding in overpowering the sounds of the city above and then fading away again to allow the soft murmur of feigned life to echo hauntingly from above.

click-click-click-click-click

The slow staccato of her heeled boots making their way down the stairs and around the corner.  Her form passed in to fluorescent lights and back out again to the shadows like a ghost.  She went at a relaxed pace; she was early for once.  She wanted this over with as quickly as possible, but there was no sense in rushing toward the assigned location.  The message she had sent to Hattah was vague but she had no doubt he would remember where they had last reunited from her long hiatus so many months ago.  How unexpectedly pleased he was to see her, and how she was surprised by her own joy at seeing a familiar face.

How times changed so quickly.  "How the mighty have fallen," a voice echoed in her head.  She closed her eyes and sighed, pushing the words away from her.

A sound like the flutter of wings, birds scattering in panic, and she stopped in mid step glancing over her shoulder, turning on the balls of her feet as eyes narrowed trying to place what she thought she heard correctly, unsure, taking a few steps backwards.  "Hmm.."

The sudden vibration at her chest startled her and she stumbled in her backward motion and with a gargled yelp her foot went out from under her and down she went, hard on her behind. The phone popping out of the cleavage of her corset and clattering to the ground.  It danced as if to mock her with each pulsing vibration sounding with angry whirrs against the concrete.  Lil whimpered in embarrassment and the throbbing pain she felt in her backside. "Remember, Lili...there is no butt," she muttered to herself as she retrieved the phone, flipping it open and pressing it to her ear.  "Hello?  Great timing, Lit..."

Lili paused and brows furrowed as Lit didn't wait to allow her to finish blaming her first mate for her own clumsiness, the voice on the other line was urgent and demanding as Lili bent her legs beneath herself, preparing to get herself off the floor as quickly as possible.  That's when she noticed the growing shadow looming ominously from behind.

Her life seemed to be one unending stream of a comedy of errors lately.  "Yes...I know."  Without saying another word Lili snapped the phone shut.  Sucking in a breath she launched herself to her feet spinning to attack her assailant.  She didn't even touch him, and neither did he touch her, but she was launched across the station and bounced off a wall decadently covered in graffiti and tossed to the floor again like a rag doll.

Click-click-click-click-click

The disheveled man with hair screaming for a comb and deep conditioning treatment meandered toward her with a smirk on his face.  "When he told me to come get you I really didn't think you were stupid enough to actually show up."

Lili struggled to get to her hands and knees, coughing and sputtering, spitting blood at his shoe once he was close enough. "You could have just asked me nicely...and why would Hattah send you to get me?"

The Trainman sneered at the phlegm and blood making its way slowly down the side of his shoe and nudged her onto her stomach again, wiping the stain on her cheek as he chuckled.  "Hattah?  Haven't heard from him in a long time.  Probably longer than you if I guess correctly.  Say nighty night."  She didn't have time to ask anymore questions.  The heel of his shoe came sharply across her cheek and darkness ensued.

(Previously on The DA *insert creepy lost theme music* ...)

She could feel Lit's stare piercing the back of her as her own violet gaze remained fixed on the chair covered in thick grey dust.  This outpost they found had been abandoned, no doubt a relic of one of the previously destroyed iterations.  The hardware was ancient and out of date but between the two of them and the knowledge stored in Tex's databanks they had done their best to restore and upgrade the communications systems.  Still Lit was uneasy.  As usual Liliane was feeling almost suicidally reckless.

"I feel compelled to once again express my strong feelings of uneasiness regarding this plan of yours, Commander." Lili rolled her eyes and her chin dropped as she shook her head, an exasperated sigh escaping her lips. "Lit... please... stop calling me that." She only heard the subtle sound of a smirk from behind her.  "A Commander of one is just silly, and besides you're not here due to my orders, you're here because for some silly reason you refuse to abandon me."

Lit smiled.  "I have no intentions of returning to Zion, and the barrens can be a cold and lonely place.  Besides, you know as well as I do you need me here."  Lil would have liked to point out that she didn't need anyone...but what the red headed stubborn woman said was true.  "It's difficult enough to try and dissuade you from pulling dangerous stunts like jacking in through ancient hardware, who knows what you would put yourself through if there wasn't at least one voice of reason to talk you down off your cliffs."

Lili's eyes dropped from the chair, the weight of the past hanging heavily in the dark circles below those lids as her voice dropped to almost a whisper, hallow and numb.  "Maybe you shouldn't..."

Lit's smile faded and her tone grew serious.  "Kabell isn't the only person in this world who loves you, Lili."

Lil's eyes closed tight, fighting away the memories that name invoked. Small hints of his continued existence haunted her, as did his continued distance for whatever reasons were known only to him.  It agonized her and Lit instantly regretted the mention of him, sensing her best friend's distress.  Lili shook her head, her long disheveled black curls sweeping away the thoughts as she took a deep breath and regained her focus and resolve at the current task at hand.  "You confirmed the meeting time and place with him?"

Lit dropped the topic and allowed the moment to pass from emotional to business as usual. "Yes.  The confirmation was encrypted but your request was confirmed.  When the Merovingian catches word of your intentions you know he will not like them.  No one just up and resigns without paying a hefty price for it."

"He won't know until Hattah passes it along once the meeting is completed, and then good luck to the Merovingian ever finding us. If GreatWyrm and ..." she stopped herself from repeating his name," so many others can pull such convincing disappearing acts I am sure I can do the same."  Lil stepped closer to the chair, kneeling before it with rag in hand as she began wiping the dust from it with such slow care you would have thought it meant more to her than it really did, like some fossilized relic that might crumble under too much pressure.  The only purpose of her actions was to lesson the focus off her own trepidation and turn them toward something, anything else.

"Yes but as far as we know neither of them enter the Matrix any longer, and you don't intend on giving up your little playground."  Lit's arms crossed.  No, she did not like this plan of Lili's at all."

"I have no intentions of following Wyrm on his whimsical archaeological digs."  For the first time the hint of a grin curled at the corner of her lips. "I still have my own little games to play within that digital world."

"Hmm... very dangerous games."

Lil stood "Hey..."  She turned toward her, that flash of malicious intent burning below dark lashes, her voice dark.  "I told you before, if you don't want to play you are more than welcome to leave, but you know you want to play just as much as I do."

Lit's arms uncrossed and her hands raised in the air as if to concede. "Like I said...just being the voice of reason you refuse to listen to."

Lili really did love that woman.  They balanced each other out in a way no other partnership could.  The sister she never had, the conscience she long ago lost.  Her rock to lean against in a seemingly endless sea of treachery.  She smiled warmly at her partner in crime and then glanced toward the clock, smile fading once again.  "Alright, countdown to showtime.  We're low on water and I'm not spending a week with this chair's grime caked in my hair so grab a rag and get over here and help me."

Honestly, since you work toward providing event services for all three servers I have to wonder why you made this for Recursion only instead of a whole entire MxO event clan.  Or why you did not provide one for each server.  And why you decided to do so now.

If they could just restore it to what it originally was that would be a massive improvement over this downgrade.

That would require more manpower and budget that MxO has. As long as it's still cutting a profit for SoE on minimal budget I don't see any injection of cash into MxO so the Dev's have to make do with what they can at their disposal.

I know and understand this reasoning, but we all know SOE has more money than God.

This reminded me of a quote, and in searching for it I found several quotes by our former president of the old world before the fall that seems most appropriate as my response to this:

"All of us do not have equal talents, but all of us should have an equal opportunity to develop our talents"

"Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly."

"When written in Chinese, the word "crisis" is composed of two characters-one represents danger, and the other represents opportunity."

Our world is falling into a state of crisis, its life span is shortening by the month.

You can fight and scream and rave and rant and paint the walls with your sarcasm, and all it will do is cause those who should listen to shut there ears.

Then again, we've asked nicely, we've begged, we've pleaded...

If we give up, they win.  If we anger them to the point of shutting us all out one by one as we lose ourself to raging at the injustice, they win.

There are other options.  I'm not ready to give up.  I'm not ready to bash their heads against the wall with insults and acerbic novelas, either.

However... while I do feel it is the roleplayers that stick with this game, and are so often overlooked, I am not so egotistical to think that I am more deserving of attention than anyone else who pays $15 a month or more to play this game. I would never claim to be better than anyone else and paint myself a fool.  We are all human with our own juggling act balance of talents and deep flaws.

When I said you were wrong, this was not exactly what I was referring to.  You know what I was referring to, and I am not rehashing it here.

I agree with you 100% in your frustration with the lack of effort put into this world by the powers that be.  I am looking into other options to do what I can to save it.  I don't see how spitting in the faces of those who hold open or shut the door to change, regardless of whether They are deserving of that position or not, will get me anywhere.

Because some individuals on DN1 just cant keep their darn fingers under their butt's for 24 hours the project is complete.

As promised what the game really is. Please click this link: http://www.destructoid.com/wp-conte...6/07/mario1.jpg

For those of you who clicked on E, congratulations you either knew what I was talking about or took the time to find out what I was depicting. For those of you who actually clicked M and AO, assuming you weren't being an idiot I seriously recommend you look up the meaning of gullible.

The game I depicted is Super Mario bro's from the classic Nintendo system. Ill break down each line that mislead you in terms of the content of the video game.

"Join a rebel faction of a foreign kingdom to rescue their leader, a wealthy and beautiful woman."

The so called rebel faction are the patrons of the mushroom kingdom, the wealthy and beautiful woman, the princess.

"Gain powerful abilities by eating red and green mushrooms and local "flowers". "

This line describes the mushroom to grow in size, the extra life mushroom, and the fireball flower.

"Slaughter and stomp on your enemies without mercy as you single handedly engage in combat in a race to beat the clock as well as pillage town after town."

Anyone who played the classic knows that there is a time limit for each level. Pillaging town after town would simply be collecting the big *CENSORED* coins.

"Destroy the local wildlife for kicks and then use their bodies to add insult to injury by using them as weapons!"

The shelled vultures. An enemy that once stomped on could be used as a projectile.

" Circumvent entire squadrons of enemies by using the kingdoms sewer system to your advantage. "

The famous warp tube system.

"Brutally kill appointed leaders with an axe and by throwing them into a pit of lava with little to no remorse! "

To kill bowser look ah likes you had to hit the axe to make the bridge retract and cause the fire breathing monster to fall into the pit of lava.

"Play with a friend for added enjoyment! Only you can bring the kingdom into a new world order!"

Mario's brother and when you finally beat the game!

Now to my point. What I did is done everyday by people coughjackthompsoncough trying to influence people into siding with their points of views by casting something in a negative light. Its up to you to weed threw the BS and figure out what they are describing, never take what someone is pitching at face value.

For those of you who are interested in the results a majority of you thought the game deserved a rating over T 13, the little red plumber would be offended.
