Feeling frustrated that certain liaison officers are not showing up inside the Matrix when needed? Are you pissed off that said officers jack in *VERY FEW TIMES?* and are seldomly involved with the community? Voice your concerns right here. Note: This is devoted to the officers that are NOT doing their jobs. Syntax: Novalux (EPN): Wow, this shouldn't be a surprise, especially if you read my last 20 posts. Ever since he was introduced in 2006, Novalux seldomly jacked in for only 12 times last year, most of them being Rarebit held events (most noteworthy being the "Kill Crop" event), while there was only one very small event involving a very antique red-colored pill, never to be picked up again in July 2006. This year, it got worse. He jacked for a total of SEVEN TIMES. Two days involved the first deployment of the Code Pulse Device for the March 31st Morpheus Event, one day was spent on deploying the CPDs on the General's helipads, two days were spent on the "BloodLustV wants to get his hands on the CPD schematics" during the Smith Anniversary Week, only to be M.I.A. for FOUR MONTHS (at least some credit is given that he notified some of the EPN operatives in terms of "I'm disappearing, but I won't tell you how long." ) Oh yeah, he just returned last week, only for two days, again, and another two days this week. "Just because you don't see me doesn't mean I'm not around." Right, tell that to 90% of the EPN players that are pissed off at you, Nova. Fuscienne just joined us four to five months ago, and has jacked in more times than you, on a nearly-daily basis. Recursion: Eventual and Torman (Machines): Odj: All of the Machine Liasons. I've only ever seen one of them online once. During a LESIG event where they basically HAD to be on for the story. MadHattah (Merv): MatrixRefugee: He kept playing favorites with lesser-quality Merv factions, and he bullied two members of the Devil's Advocates for daring to question his capabilities as a liaison, particularly the incident where he was caught red-handed sharing incidents with the Machines and I got in trouble for hinting that he wasn't to be trusted any more. For this, he threatened to have the faction barred from events and even thrown out of the Merovingian's organization. Just me saying it, but it seemed like someone's position went to his head. This problem has happened since last Thursday when I just started logging into the Matrix Online. I exited the game literally a minute before the server restart, and deleted the Dump textfiles as suggested by other players, but it still kept popping up. True, MXO has been improving over what is eventually a year under SOE's control, but a good portion of the developers devoted to this game have been seriously under-manned (especially with Rarebit being spread out badly), and it has been considered nearly impossible to get a Live Event on a player's home server. As far as I know, Recursion and Vector got more Live Events than Syntax, which I feel is not fair, and I know this is not their fault. If only there were a few more developers helping out Rarebit, Walrus, and crew, we could at least have an equal amount of events, instead of Syntax getting the short end of the stick. Regarding Star Wars Galaxies, I have been hearing that the game has been considered worse every time a new update is given, and that the game was doomed to begin with. At least pull the plug so a few more developers can be devoted to help out on the Matrix Online. As far as I can see it, MXO may not be on life support, but it's on crutches the way I see it.

Hey guys, the topic explains all. I have serious problems with these boards since it's virtually impossible for me to post things within less than ten minutes. On top of this, navigating the topics is a horrendous nightmare, expecially with a 1000+ page topic like "Ask the devs an MXO question." This thing is seriously FUBARed and I still stand by the fact that SOE is full of morons. I'm still going to be on Syntax. This is it, my final post. Bye guys on the boards.

I really couldn't believe this. As of May 25, the same day as Seraneth's rescue, I have managed to send in crucial information about the General working behind the scenes, manipulating us to fight all of his scapegoats. I attempted to warn Seraneth a couple weeks earlier, but he was not reachable sometime prior to his capture. Not taking any chances, I managed to send in transmissions to Zion's second liaison, Vibb, containing the evidence.
The overview of the General: The General was in essence working behind the scenes, screwing every single side over. His ultimate goal was to sabotage the Truce established between the Machines and Zion. Various Zion operatives recovered such a file as of late March/early April as of last year. Thankfully, Stack kept all of his files in his loading archive for future references.
Steps taken to put Zion into dis-array/General's connection to the Assassin:
- Morpheus was doing everything in his power to recover Neo's body. Meanwhile, the General had his LED Agents stalk Morpheus, and aided the then-obscured Cypherites by sabotaging hardlines. The purpose of this was to prevent Morpheus from receiving any outside help. In turn, Zion was not successful in apprehending Morpheus. Although Morpheus supporters like myself were glad that he was not in Zion custody, the sad reality was that he was in danger.
- The Merovingian wanted Morpheus dead for an endless number of reasons and sent out the Assassin to carry out the assassination attempt. The Assassin however had no luck finding Morpheus whatsoever on his own. Here's the perfect murder: The General makes a deal with the Assassin and gives him the intel of Morpheus's whereabouts. In essence, the Merovingian was not aware of the General and his innocence was genuine, despite the fact that he wanted Morpheus assassinated.
Result: The General managed to cloud Niobe's judgment, and at one point attempted to cover his tracks by trying to kill the Assassin before the Flit Guns were created. The cover-up was supported by a report found during a set of critical assignments during the development of the Flit Guns. The Assassin was the unknown entity referenced in the file.
Evidence: A Machinist operative I trust with my life (He shall *NOT* be named) had recovered an index card from a commando. This was taken when the General wanted to ally with the Machines prior to aiding Zion. The clue was "You'll catch more flies with garbage than honey." This heavily hinted that the General aided the Assassin. The commando commited suicide possibly because of the card, and because the Agents knew about their imposter counterparts. The General could have been deleted long before his plans came into fruition.
General's connection to the Cypherites:
I mentioned earlier that the Cypherites also sabotaged the hardlines when Zion was looking for Morpheus. The General however provided more aid by sending in his LED Agents to assist them. At one point last summer, Enmascarado made a death threat to random redpill operatives that they would die, prior to a massive battle with him. A day later, those random redpill operatives targeted by Enmascarado were under attack by LED Agents. Coincidence? Too close to be a coincidence. I was present in providing security detail for two of the targets. The General aided the Cypherites until Enmascado's death, and left either due to the missing leadership, and/or the fact that the Cypherites were strong enough to fight on their own.
General screwing Zion over. Machines knew the truth:
With Niobe wanting to go to war with the Merv, the General had his perfect scheme. He approaches Niobe and provides her the firepower Zion needed with his Commandos. After having all Zion operatives jump through loops with loyalty tests, Zion already had an agreement with the General, despite massive protests by all Zion field operatives. I was among the operatives that never trusted the General to begin with. Now, he started to show his true colors by directing all Zion operatives into recovering a case containing "Cheat codes." Those "Cheat codes" were chemicals stolen from Kalt Chemicals some time ago, and the commandos were responsible for the set-up. The General had an inside man, Anome, to manipulate us into gathering the case for them, thereby having Zion operatives fight against the Machines on a few occasions. The Machines on the other hand were trying to recover something that shouldn't have been released in the first place, and knew that the General was provoking Zion into breaking the truce.
This was the time where I came in. I connected all of these dots together and understood the full story after some discussions with my Machine informant. I'm glad that the warning is being sent to Zion command.

Assassination missions should be assassination missions (This one is okay)
Courier missions should be courier missions (only 90% of the time. The other 10% ends up being an assassination mission for some stupid reason.)
Retrieval missions should be retrieval missions (This one is okay)
Escort should stay as escort missions (This one is okay)
Rescue missions should involve rescue missions (Uh, this is basically being redundant to Escort missions. Doesn't rescue missions involve bring NPCs to hardlines or REP points?)
Infiltration missions should stay as infiltration missions (Instead, what we get is 10% Infiltration while the other 80% are the Courier/Retrieval missions)
Recruitment missions should be recruitment missions (Isn't the point of recruitment missions offering bluepills the choice to work for their respective organizations? Instead, it's just another name for Escort missions involving redpills.)

This is really beneficial for everyone, and it made the game more enjoyable than it already is. The problem with the old system is that anyone could spend as much as five hours and *NOT* get the red frags. If this is removed, a lot of people would riot since they would basically get nothing out of their hard-earned grinds.

Pistols and SMGS: Ballistic downgrade accuracies (which makes sense)
Rifles: Ballistic upgrade accuracy (Makes sense)
Shotguns: Ballistic upgrade accuracy (*CENSORED*?)
Shouldn't the order of guns in terms of accuracy be Sniper rifles> Assault Riffles> SMGS= Handguns> Shotguns? Shotguns may be powerful, but they really suck at travelling long distances when in free-fire mode.
Another thing that is bugging me. The rifles are supposed to be accurate stat-wise in CR 2.0, but whenever I fire the rifle, I feel like I'm back in the older version of the game, in which the rifles are *STILL* inaccurate regardless of the fact that my Rifleman tree is loaded. Hell, I even feel more accurate when using the Duelist tree. Message Edited by Dibol on 04-15-2006 08:13 PM

I had this game since March 2005 and have been consistently playing until November. Unfortunately, I had a lag problem with FEAR and took it to Best Buy to have a fan installed. On top of that, the people that installed the fan forgot to update the drivers. For the past couple of months, my top-of-the-line PC has been very slow even at start-up, and the problem was finally solved as of this week. Problem installing the game: "Feature Transfer Error. Feature: Resources
File: Blank Error: Catastrophic failure Could it be from the transition to SOE? If not, how can I re-install the game?

I have posted this on the General Boards, but this is the only way I can get the attention of the administators and the topic has not been noticed. I'm also compiling some posts that were made throughout the past week/months and they really need heavy attention.
Is there any way we could have a better chances of getting the red fragments? I understand that they are supposed to be rare, but this idea is ridiculous. I have been fighting M.O.B.s for two hours and I only got ONE fragment. On a related note, a friend of mine has been playing for THREE hours and found NOTHING.
Made by me on September 1
My words have truth to it and a few people agree . Here's the problem: Some of us are looking for the red fragments, and we *KNOW* which M.O.B.s carry it, but the main problem is that even though the loot is randomized, it's more of a curse than a blessing if we get stuck with useless clothing more often the red fragments. It is just not productive to spend two+ hours just to find one simple red fragment period. Details, next "paragraph." (It's on my feedback after paraphrasing Gothique)
Gothique has posted this in the Character Development topic and I honestly agree:
Please I beg of you grant us the powers to choose what items we want to loot from a body. I can't believe after almost a year it hasn't been addressed.
"Also we would like to save our unused items in the loading area to save some inventory space. They are codes too!
Thank you very much"
The problem is that there are those of us that want to get said Red Fragments from the correct M.O.B.s but we normally keep getting stuck with useless items that we don't want. It's not even productive if we have to spend two+ hours just to get a red fragment. Not everyone has a luxury of time to do red-frag farming all day long especially for those that have school/college/work not to mention that the Downtown lag is barely fixed.
As for the un-used items, I agree to some extent. It's a bit of a hassle to just go back to a hard-line, switch to coder, create said items, then revert back to whatever combat tree you want. I'm hoarding some SMGs just because I don't know if I'm going to use them or not.
Me paraphrasing Gothique's intended message and what my responses were. I know there are people working on the Downtown lag, but this is related since there are some players that actually want to fill up their code archive with uploaded skills, but the lag has made red-fragment farming down-right impossible to do period since the majority of high-lvl players (me included) can't tolerate being in said problem area for more than five seconds due to latency problems.
Considering that they are needed for high level coding so much, I fail to see why these frags are as rare as they are. It just doesn't seem very reasonable to me. If anything their drop ratio should either be raised considerably or a vendor created that sells them. Not only does this cut down on player frustration, but it would help give the economy a kick start with people finally being able to code decent amounts of gear to sell.
Posted by Chuui as of yesterday
This is the only solution that I can personally propose and I agree with her. Just inncrease the drop ratio for the red fragments. It's more productive to get ten fragments per hour rather than wasting five+ hours just to get one fragment.
