As the saying goes all good things come to end and I've had some really good times in The Matrix Online but it's time to move onto pastures new. I'll stick around until the end of the anniversary event but when that ends I'll be gone. MXO has had hold of me for 4 years and along the way I've made some really good friends with whom I aim to stay in contact with forever. I have too many people to thank so I'll just keep it to a few:-

TameDragon - For being a such a good friend both in and out of MXO. Love you always <3 <3

Catzi - For being a good friend, all the events you have organised and for all the help and advice you have given me when I started out on Catzi Radio.

It is with a heavy heart that I must say goodbye for quite a while. I have so much to do in the real that I won't have the time to be in Megacity for some time. My current job sucks so I need to find a new one. have a *poop* of stuff to sell on Ebay that I don't need and also to start looking out seeing if it's possible to emigrate to Canada or America. I was not going to mention specific people for praise, but I feel I must as there are few people who deserve special thanks:-

There a few things that really annoy me when using a Patcher Sim:-

1) Why on earth does the Patcher Sim buff players from other orgs?, surely it should only buff players from the same org as myself.

2) Even though my buffer is full the Patcher Sim still keeps trying to buff me.

3) When in a team whilst the Patcher Sim buffs myself but it takes ages or sometimes never buffs team-mates.

Due to the graphical issues with MXO when using Windows Vista I'm looking into using a dual boot setup using XP & Vista. I have only got a pre-installed version of Vista (that came with the computer) and and upgrade version of XP that I've had for ages, now would this still work or would I need a full version of both XP and Vista.

One of my long term aims in MXO is to be able to code every piece of craftable clothing within the the game (a huge task I know!), however when when looking to code new clothing to takes forever so look through the code archive to see what I can and can't code, so I'm thinking of maybe MS Access would be the way forward to layout what I'm able to code. The trouble is, while I can input data into a database I very struggle when I comes to creating a database from scratch so does anyone have a Access template they could possibly share?, also any help and advice on alternative methods to collate all the items I can code would be greatly appreciated.

No doubt this has been mentioned before, but I thought I'd say it again in that the Marketplace is in dire need of an overhaul. A couple of changes I would like to see for the Apparel section are:-

1. Being able to list just male or female clothing.

2. Being able to search for a particular buff.

3. Sort by level really needs fixing as it does not work.

Has there been any news about the permanent free trial and launch pad 2 since Walrus mentioned about it in the 16th March edition of The Other Side of the Looking Glass?.

As the combat tactics (power, speed, block etc) take up about half of one hotbar could we not have these in a drop down style like we have we Close Combat Style & Free Attack Style?

No 'The Other Side Of The Looking Glass' for yesterday?

What about changing the coding animation, so instead of standing and using and invisible keyboard you could sit and the animation would show you using a PDA or a Laptop?

I don't know if this has got mentioned before but what about having a faction code bank. All members of faction could store their code bits, red frags, sub routines etc in a faction bank and the faction coders could look in the faction and use what's there to code whatever is requested by the faction leader. It could be set up like what we have now with the $i faction bank.

Any thoughts?

Edit - It would also free up some space in each individuals code storage space.

Dear Redpills,

On the whole the MXO community is great but recently there has been a lot of negativity within these forums and I think it's about time we change the mood. While some of the negativity may be justified the majority is not and it does not leave a very good impression for new redpills who are just starting out or bluepills wanting to be freed from the Matrix.

In end what does all this negativity acheive.........................the answer is nothing. Threads get locked, people get flamed and then counter-flamed so what's the point of it all?. Yes things sometimes get said in the heat of the moment but instead of letting it carry on sometimes it's better to simply 'agree to disagree'. At lot of the recent negativity has been expressed at both the developers and the forum moderators but openly expressing your anger in a public is certainly the wrong way to do it and in the long run will only make matters worse. If you have a problem then it's much better to contact the person directly.

It's about time we focus on the postitive aspects of MXO and while people complain of a lack of events or lack of things to do for higher level players there are certainly lots of things to do in the meantime until the events get sorted out and the level cap raised (which I'm sure will happen eventually). It seems that the lack of events is a real thorn in the side of some people and they seem to be just hanging around waiting for something to happen, well and I've said this before and I'll say it again there is nothing stopping you from organising your own events but it seems like everyone is waiting for somebody else to do it and as result nothing get's done. As for me I am currently thinking of ideas for events with something more than just pvp action.

In a nutshell let's be postitive for a change folks and I for one still believe that MXO has a bright future despite all the recent moaning & groaning. Yes some people are leaving MXO but there are plenty more (like me) who still enjoy playing MXO so come on and be postitve.

I wasn't sure where to post this, in the end I put it here. Has anyone actually completed the first mission for the contact known as 'Digger'. I have tried this mission twice have each time have been unable to complete it. The mission objective is to kill all the exiles which I have done but the 'Leave the area' objective does not show and as a result I have to abort the mission. I have done a /bug and reported it as a bug but could someone try to run this mission and see if they are having the same trouble.

There are a few people here who continue to criticise MXO and/or SOE without really offering a worthwhile explanation about why they are criticising and it certainly the developers must feel dejected being unfairly criticised after all their work and effort. While constructive criticism is good and can help to improve things simply saying something is not good enough ( or words to that affect) without saying why does not help anyone. If you do want to crticise something then ask yourselves the follwing questions:-

1. Why don't I like it?
2. What can be improved?
3. Is it feasible?
4. Would it be benefical?
5. Is it a priority (i.e - are there more important things that need to be done first)

For answers to some of these questions you need put yourself in the devs shoes for a minute and imagine your part of the development team.

I also think people sometimes crticise beacuse they have got nothing better to do or because thet want to get attention, so the question is why?. I can certainly think of plenty of things to do than criticise just for the sake of it.

The mentality of some people is that becuase they pay the monthly subscription they feel they have the right to take what they want without giving anything in return, but so does everyone else and the likes of Aquatium with The Sentinel Reloaded, the DJ's on the MXO radio stations and the organisers of player events give something back to the community as well as paying the monthly subscription.

In closing let me say - Well done to those people whom I've just mentioned and to others who who give some thing back to the community and to those who just criticise just the sake of it then 'Get your thumb out your *CENSORED* and do something useful'.

*CENSORED*? Does anyone else get this?. I got it while doing the mission 'Transendence' as I result I had to abort the mission and I then tried to beat up a gang member but got the same message, so I ahd to exit the game altogether.
