The EPN Combat Trials will be held Thursday, August 21, and Friday, August 22
Signup Rules
- You must sign up here.
- You can enter as many combat trials as you wish
- You must be kinetic level 50 at tournament dates
Judges: Pentothal, Xensei, Acavaria
General Combat and Trial Rules - Rules are subject to change.
- You are allowed to use all awakened tree abilities*
- You are allowed to use Mobius Code
- You are not allowed to use Pills or Consumables(Antibiotics, Tactic Boosters, Silver Bullets, etc)
- You are not allowed to use any Interference program (Runtime Bits etc)
- You are not allowed any clothing that can grant a heal
- You are not allowed to jump
- You are not allowed any luggable enhancement
- Each fighter will be asked to reset their RSI, they will be asked to leave and re-enter the Matrix
- Each fight will be best of 3 duels
- If you lose your signal to the Matrix, the fight will be redone, unless you were killed before your signal was lost.
- If both players are killed in a duel, then that fight is void.
- If the fight ends due to distance violation, the judges will declare the winner after determining who caused the infringement
- If both judges agreed on any violation of the rules, the player concerned will be disqualified
- The winner from each fight will move forward to the next stage.
- In the case of uneven numbers, the finals will be conducted in a round robin.
- If any combat trial runs over it's duration, then the next trial will be delayed until that is concluded.
- A time limit of 7 minutes per duel is applied, if the duel has not ended in that time, the player with the most remaining health will win that fight.
- Judges decisions are final
*There maybe specific abilities disallowed from the awakened tree in each combat trials
Martial Arts Combat Trial - additional rules
- Only abilities from and including Martial Arts Initiate tree are allowed*
- You are not allowed to use Guns
- You are not allowed to use Program Launchers of the "Tool" variety.
Gunmen Combat Trial - additional rules
- Only abilities from and including Gunmen program tree are allowed*
- You are not allowed to perform a Cheap shot or Headbutt
- You are not allowed to use Program Launchers of the "Tool" variety.
Offensive Hacker Combat Trial - additional rules
- Only abilities from and including the Virologist program tree are allowed*
- You are not allowed to perform a Cheap shot or Headbutt
- You are not allowed to use Program Launchers of the "Tool" variety.
Spy Combat Trial - additional rules
- Only abilities leading from and including the Spy program trees are allowed*
- You are not allowed to perform a Cheap shot or Headbutt
- You are not allowed to use Program Launchers of the "Tool" variety.
*Any prerequisite abilities that must be loaded before the main listed trees are also permitted to be used.
Dates & Times

Combat Trial 1: Martial Arts - Time: 2pm MCT - Duration: As long needed
Combat Trial 3: Offensive Hacker - Time: 30 minutes after the completion of trial 1 - Duration: As long as needed
Date: 22 August 2008
Combat Trial 2: Gunmen - Time: 2pm MCT - Duration: As long as needed
Combat Trial 4: Spy - Time: 30 minutes after the completion of trial 2 - Duration: As long as needed
The winner from each combat trial will be asked to enter the Finals that will be held against the Zion combat trial winners.
If you have not signed up 12 hours before the tournament start time, then you will not be permitted to enter the Combat Trial in question
