I created this forum acct before i could actually get into the game to play, and now that im playing Id like to participate in the forums, using my chars name as my handle.  Is there a way to reset this?

 

I looked in the knowledge base, and it said that it is supposed to use your oldest char as your forum name, but that simply isnt the case....any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

(im able to switch to dial up and log in fine, so its my DSL modem i believe  thats keeping me from getting in on DSL)

The documentation, and sony say i need to have open TCP ports 80 10000 11000 and UDP 11000.

 

(they said the patcher is UDP, and i can patch just fine, and that the game is TCP, and i cant get there)

 

Heres my issue:

 

My modem allows me 2 choices, either:

-Port Forwarding Ranges of Ports. (Forward a range of WAN ports to an IP address on the LAN)

or

-Trigger Ports. (Forward a range of ports to an IP address on the LAN only after specific outbound traffic)

 

If I choose port forwarding, Im asked for a global port range ____-_____ and a base host port, and then i can choose TCP or UDP.

 

If I choose Trigger POrts, Im asked for a Local 'Trigger' Port Range ____-____ and a Global Port Range ____-____.

 

 

which of the two do I use, and what numbers do I enter? I asked sony and they said open 1024-65545 but if I enter these numbers into any of these choices, it says 'Invalid Start Port in your range".

Been trying all night to log in.

 

Just turned my account back on, via Sony Pass.

 

If I try to use a char I already had, I start to load the game and get "login error, failed to reconnect to margin server."

 

If I try to create a new char, i get "TCP_CONNREFUSED".

 

Ive removed my router, turned off all the firewalls, did clean reboot.  Nothing seems to work.

 

Matrix used to run fine...any suggestions?
