Considering the EPIC fail that led us to this point, that would prolly be something that SOE would think is more than we deserve, but on the other hand if we could get someone else looking at us as a vialble investment, it would be worth stayiing around to give the new team my blessings.

A place of beginnings is a fitting place to see the end of one dream as it fades into another.

The one thing I'll miss most about this game is the fact that Viralmarauder was the first charecter I've ever played in an MMO that I'll be sad to see 'die'. I'll be there if things are clear for me to get in. Count on it!

Seems that I was not altogether wrong as to my first thoughts about this situation. What I don't understand is why, and more to the point why now? You were humanity's defender once. Why the change, adn why such hate?

It seems a cloud of insanity has been unleashed on Westview, but the questionis whose is it? Do we blame the father for losing control, or do we blame the child for playing with fire?

I'm planning a scan of Westview to determine the true extent of the damaged areas. As soon as I fidn more information I will make a full report.

ViralMarauder popped through the Camon Heights central hardline grasping an old newspaper tightly in one hand. As the code of the area slowly resolved he sighed deeply and looked around. He had arrived in time to see the last of the clean-up crew and the police leaving the area, and for some reason there was a sense of dread that he couldn't shake off his shoulders. He uncrumpled the newspaper he was holding and read the headlines on it again, and with a look of anger he surveyed the area. 'So it's come to this again,' he thought to himself, 'Innocence lost yet again, and more people dead...' ViralMarauder looked down at his feet and then returned to the hardline and dialed back to Tabor Park west.

the 'new loadout' whiner...

Someone who complains about not being able to hit anything, and when they're asked why they blame everything from a new loadout to a new set of clothes...

Simple fact... The best hacker load in the world is the one you feel most comfortable with, end of story. As far as abilities go there is no one set of em that can beat down everything in sight at all times especially now with things like the sleepwalker pants and the change in how hyper defenses work now. Best thing I can say about this is level the complete set of damage trees, and focus on the passive buff abs as well as the damage and debuff skills untill you find something that works for you and your style of attack.

I use WM lenses and the sak bandana for IS regen, and I was wondering what other clothing items add to IS regen so I can overcome the 10% IS regen debuff from sleepwalker pants in pvp.

Don't know if this one has a name yet or not, but I find it really annoying when someone goes into Master Shadow stealth mode and then has the nerve to start complaining wihen no one will flag for PvP...

Devil or angel? I'll leave that for whatever deities that reside within the system to decide... Losing a leader is never an easy thing to face, and for all that have been hurt by this, my thoughts and prayers are with you even if I don't necessarily agree woth what you believe in.

The one thing I'd impliment right off, is the ability to transfer charecters from one server to another. There are many times I've thought about what it would be like PvPing on other servers, and it could also be a good gague of wether or not a server merge would be a viable option by seeing where players would go if given the choice to do so on their own.

While I may not have always understood the giist of what your storlines were about, they were always something to look forward to because, a lot of what happened in the interactions of our charecters made sense when i looked back at iit from an OOC perspective. Hopefully the attitudes of the people who 'hate' you won't keep you from coming back and starting something new. Hope that you come back with something new for RP that shakes people out of the 'RP is dead' attitude.

Considering all of the whining and crying sbout the server merge, I'd be happy with the option of paying a small fee to transfer charecters between servers as opposed to a total merge. I only shudder to think what the backlash of arrogant ego clashes would do to the incoming new players.

While you all sit around resting on your laurels, I'll be out keeping an eye on things... It's not as easy as it looks to get rid of terrorists such as the LV fleet, and I'm sure as we speak there are others falling in line waiting to take their place. Oh, sure... Go ahead and let complacency bite y'all in the backside again... Just don't be so sure it will end as nicely or as easily as things did this time.

There were three of them, standing there watching me. Cold empty stares, and hardened faces watched me waitng for a monent to strike... It was a showdown of sorts between them and I and I knew that regardless of the choices I made at this point it wasn't going to end well. They were talking in low hushed tones between themselves, and the only thing I could make out of what they were saying, was 'In Mendelevius we trust...' I kept hearing that over and over, and as I was trying to back away slowly, and make a run for cover, I felt something hit the back of my neck with enough force to knock me off my feet. I had the fortune to land on my back as I fell, and I caught a glimpse of the man who had hit me, and the look in his eyes scared me. He pulled me up by the collar of my shirt, and as I was struggling to get to my feet I was being dragged into a building. A faint almost oily sounding voice whispered in my ear, 'Join us and you will be spared, fight us and you only delay the death that waits for you.' A sudden feeling of nausea settled into the pit of my stomach, as I remembered where I had heard those words before, and to think that the nightmare was happening all over again was almost enough to knock me to the ground once again. 'You can't be serious,' I said as I made an attempt to break free from the man holding on to the collar of his shirt, "There is no future other than death if I were to join you, and you know that.' As the last of what I had said came out of my mouth, I felt another sharp pain as someone's fist collided with the right side of my jaw. The pain and anger I was feeling combined in such a way that I couldn't make a move no matter how hard I tried, and they knew I was getting weak. 'Three days, Viral, and then you have to make a decision,' the man holding on to me said, 'You will join us or die..."

Once more the idiocy and arrogance of humans is made apparent and in so many ways it makes me laugh. What LV plans to do not only threatens the stability of the Matrix itself, but even worse in the eyes of some, threatens the continued existienc of humanity itsellf. If all minds were meant to be awakened, wouldn't it stand to reason that one by one each mid within the system would have begun to realise the truth of what thi place is. To force your ideas of reality on an unwilling mind is as near to committing murder as you can get with out laying a hand on them. Let's assume for a moment that every human confined within the matrix were set free. Where would they live, how would they be clothed, and most importantly, how would they be fed? In the mad rush that LV proposes in terms of saving humanity, thy're failing to see things out to a logical conclusion. A cage is a cage no matter how it looks, adn to throw innocent and helpless people into the cage that the real has become ismass murder of the worst sort. Your outposts and colonies are not yet strong enough to handle a mass exodus of poeple let aloon the few that are living there now, so think twice before allowing terrorists to condemn the innocents to an early and painful death.

All I can say is this... I do not follow blindly, nor do I agree that humanity's salvation lies in the real, but even more disgusting in the whole scheme of what LV's plans entail, no one has given thought to what will happen to exiles who by their very existience will be doomed to extinction. As for my affiliation with the Merovingian, I merely find it a safer place to express my views without being seen as a traitor to humanity. In humanity's rush for freedom from machines and the confines of Matrix as we know it, there are many who have forgotten that not all life within it consists of flesh and blood. I speak for those who most would rather ignore and see trampled underfoot and forgotten.

Sentient life takes many forms, and to think that only humans are worthy of being saved is utter arrogance of the worst sort... Woulds the lives of exiles mean more to anyone if we bled as humans do, or lived and died as humans do. You're missing the point of the threat that Libertas Verus poses to ALL sentient beings that take refuge within the system of the Matrix. Even if humans were to completely withdraw from the system as it stands now, and find 'peace' with the machines it would be a short life doomed to failure.. There is nothing on the surface that has the potential of being able to keep vast numbers of humans alive, let alone support the vast amounts of resources to keep them alive. Even at a more basic level, I can start to see the points that some Cypherites have been making about the potential hazards of forcing an awakening onto an unwilling mind.

MURDER IS MURDER WETHER IT'S OF FLESH AND BLOOD OR OF SENTIENT AND SELF-AWARE PROGRAMS... I WILL NOT STAND AND LET INNOCENT LIVES BE LOST, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ORIGIN.
