HA! fooled you, this isn't a sappy or drama-filled goodbye thread. Actually, I just wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been around the last two weeks (not that anyone would have noticed). My mother died and I had to fly back to Illinois to deal with the details, but all is said and done now, and I'm free to once again immerse myself in the world of the Matrix. Aside from mission/storyline stuff have I missed anything of note? Once again...ha I fooled you

## Broadcast Depth ## Incoming Transmission... ## ??? // HvCFT ??? // Server Bounce: PORT ID 6464 - Proxy Detected ## RELAY Initialized - Instance: Syntax // Public Channel Entry ID: 04 So it has finally come to this, how I've had to run, how I've had to hide infuriates me to no end but if I want to continue fighting for it, then I had to. I had no other choice but to sell my soul to the devil himself, at least the devil pays well. The procedure nearly killed me, in fact I'm quite amazed that I'm still alive, there apparently was some strength left in this body of mine after all. I've been assured that the location is secure, and that now I have a connection that bridges between the two, allowing me access to both; I am uncertain as to whether or not I trust or believe this...but I've little choice in the matter anyways. I have noted upon jacking in that I am considerably weaker, this was an expected turn of events however annoying it may be, but it leaves me vulnerable none the less so I must lay low until I've had enough time to recover my full strength. During this period, hopefully things will blow over a bit, and they'll stop looking for me with such dedication. Still, I cannot stay in the shadows forever, there will come a time when I must act, but I can play it nice with the Devil for now, a little more blood on my hands means next to nothing to me afterall. The things I've done to come this far...well, I'll just say there isn't much chance of redemption for me anytime soon. I leave this message more for myself than anyone else, as I doubt anyone will take note and this will be lost in the see of public entries that come everyday over the mainframe. That is fine by me, I'd rather make as little of a splash as I can, but still...I feel the need to say something, anything just to help myself rationalize this decision. I suppose now you could say that I've been reborn, given a second chance in a loosely metaphoric sense of that phrase. I now have the opportunity to move unhindered by the prying eyes of that iminant doom. I'll take that opportunity and run with it, but in memory of the things that I have given up, and the things that have been taken from me I adopt my new visage. My new persona, in honor of my old, has a special name and we'll just wait and see who notices, wait and see....that should be my new motto. My time is up, there are matters that require my attention elsewhere, but just as before, I'll be watching. ##End Transmission

Hey everyone, right so I've been working on a comic project for MxO, as many folks are probably doing I'm sure, but I'm doing it ala Sin City style. While trying to figure out how to do this, I realized that simply desaturating an image, or turning it black and white / grayscale just wasn't giving me the effect I needed. So I set out to create a way to give my screenshots a Miller-esque feel to them. Now I don't have the talent that alot of folk around here have (I must learn skin texture and hairlines O.O). That being said, I created this tutorial, partially because I had nothing else to do, and partially because I want to see if people like the method I've come up with. I'm sure it's been done before but hey...try it, you might like it Without further adue here we go: First Off, We’re going to open up the picture we want obviously, little does my RSI know he is about the be thrust into the wondrous and magical world of comic book noir. In the next step I suggest resizing the image so that once we are done with all our photo-manipulation and we resize the image to its original dimensions, we have a nice crisp resolution. We adjust the size by going to Image>Image Size and keeping the proportions constrained I like to just double the image size, so in this case as you can see I’ve changed the 1024x768 to 2024x1518. Step two is going to be to duplicate the layer – with the background selected right click and select Duplicate Layer, name it whatever you like (You can see I’ve named it Stamp Layer). Now we can start having some fun, first we are going to go to our good old friend Gaussian Blur. Making sure that you have the Stamp Layer selected (again whatever you named the copy of the background layer) go to filter>blur>Gaussian Blur. Once the controls pop up, move the slider all the way to the left and then move it right until you’re comfortable with the image, I like a nice even subtle blur, so with this image I have chosen to go with a radius of 2.0 pixels. Now moving on, we are going to apply a stamp filter to this level, this is pretty much the meat and potatoes of this tutorial so…yea pay attention and feel free to experiment. To apply the stamp filter go to Filter>Sketch>Stamp, now at this juncture you need to play around to get the desired effect you’re looking for, you can see the settings I’ve chosen, but they’ll be different for every pic so mess around with them until you have what you want. Moving the slider for Light/Dark Balance to the left increases the white parts, and to the right increase the black parts. I have chosen a light/dark balance of 7 and a smoothness of 3. As you can see, we’re pretty much done with the coloring for the most part, but the image itself is still a little too bright, its kind of overpowering because the white areas are so bright and contrasting to the black areas, now there are plenty of different ways to darken things up, some folks like the burn tool. You could stop the tutorial right here if you like the whole mega-contrast thing though. For this particular tutorial I have decided to use a Clouds filter, mainly because I don’t want to darken everything, I want a sort of smattering effect of darkness. We want to add our clouds on a new layer though, because we are going to do some blending/erasing with them. So create a new layer and name it what you like I’ve named it Clouds. Then with the clouds layer selected go to Filter>Render>Clouds. A smattering of dark cloudiness as shown below should now cover your pic. This is another area where you’re free to experiment as you like, we are going to change the clouds layer’s blending options to fade it into the picture and give our bleached black&white some simple texture. I have chosen to use the Darken blending option as you can see below. You can also change the opacity if the clouds are too dark overall; I’ve chosen opacity of about 80%. Now we can’t leave it like this can we? It isn’t blended quite the way we want it, so we’re going to use the eraser tool on the cloud layer, to remove any unsightly and unwanted cloudiness. First we’re going to size the image back down to 1024x768 to make the erasing job more manageable (you can omit this step if you really want to dive in and do some serious detail work). I chose a large soft brush (200pix and softness at max), this way you can fade away a large portion (such as the face, or whatever). Instead of just continually erasing, I like to erase in dabs, just one click where I need it, several clicks in certain spots until the clouds are all gone if you like, but if you’re using a hard brush you won’t want to use that method as you’ll get unsightly overlapping. Once the erasing is done, you’re pretty much good to go, like I said, feel free to mess with the opacity and blending options as you please, here is the completed picture: There You have it folks, this is the finished base image, you can then add whatever else you’re going to, such as a border or perhaps some text or whatnot. Hope you enjoyed this and found it useful. Let me know anything and everything you think about this...while I may not have the skills of some of the folks around here...I still like to contribute when I can.

So, I finally hit level 50 today, and now that I've gotten that out of the way I'll be free to really immerse myself in the RP side of the game, which I've been looking to do ever since I started. But here is the problem, I'm kind of a loner of sorts, I don't much care for factions, or I suppose I ought to say I don't care for being part of one imparticular, nor do I have the time to devote myself properly to one. But I still want to be involved with the in-game events. I don't think that just because I chose to go at my own pace, I ought to be left out simply because I've really got no one in game to let me know what's going down. Obviously, with player ran events this isn't an issue, I can check the server boards for that information, but I'm really moreover talking about the LE/LESIG events. I was trying to figure out how I could do this, short of listening to a MxO related radio station, because honestly I like listening to my own music while I play. See, because I choose to solo most things, I miss out on a great deal of events because there simply isn't anyone to tell me that they are going on. I am certain that this happens for others also, even people who do stay well connected, I'm sure we all miss things, and even with the idea I'm about to propose I'm sure we will, I'm just thinking of a way to limit these missed opportunities. So what I am proposing is that as a collective community, we start helping each other out. Doesn't take much, all I'm suggesting is that if you're in-game and an event starts unfolding, maybe there is someone else who is unaware of what's going on and might like to participate, so give them a /tell about it. Obviously, this is a bit of a selective thing, and this is just a new idea I came up with today, so its not very thought out at the moment, but thats why we have these boards, for thorough discussion. I'm thinking it should only be fore live events purposes, if you're having a private meeting with Seraph, or anyone for that matter, you certainly wouldn't want to advertise it. However, for the big in-game events, that everyone is welcomed to, some people miss ou8t simply because they don't have anyone to let them know that stuff is going down. I think perhaps just a simple in game tell something akin to this: "hey <so and so> somethings going down at <such and such place>" Doesn't take much time, and everyone that wants to be involved can be. We ought to have a list of people who are interested in this idea. Of course there has to be discression involved, we don't want to many disruptive or aggrevating folks to show up because of this, but we are all a pretty tight grouping, and most of the active community that would bother to take part in this all for the most part understand how to handle themselves during an event. That being said, again i haven't thought everything through which is why I made this post. Another point, is that it ought to be an org specific thing, think of it as calling for backup. Without further clutter, I'll add my name to the list as a show of good faith, be sure to also include your affiliation, again you don't want to be bringing in the opposition to whatever event you're participating in, and remember live events only, meaning the events in which everyone is welcomed to participate anyways. Also this list may serve as a nice contact list for newer folks who perhapsd don't know their way around, or need help with something. Oh one final note...if this has already been discussed I apologize. Handle: TheEx Server: Recursion Status: Level 50 Affiliation: Zion (for now)

Yo, so during the course of actually getting back in game after a year I've come accross many things that I hadn't realized before, this being one of them, but this time I've made sure to check my in-game settings/options So yea, I'm not able to access the in-game radio, when I attempt to do so a message in the chat window tells me "Radio Not Available" Anyone have any thoughts? I'll post up my dxdiag and system info if necessary, but I was kind of hoping this might have an easy fix/explanation.

Right, so I know there are a lot of posts that help folks with the composition and whatnot of their screenies. But I thought perhaps we might post some of our favorite places to take screenshots. You know, places with good background detail, or nice action squences. So Everyone, what's your faovrite place to take a screenshot? I'll start, I like to go to some of the parks downtown, face away from some buildings so you get a nice mix of buildings and greenery.

All righty, I seem to have lost the ability to mouse over things while in game and see the details of whatever is moused-over; ie: when you mouse over say a gun, a mini-window pops up telling you the details of the weapon. Not just for weapons though, for everything, including abilities. I've included the usuals, and also my useropts in case theres something in there I've screwed up. For posting sake, I'll post my useropts in this post. useropts: # These lines designate what movies to load when the game loads. Nothing's here, so load no movies. As the title emplies, I'm pretty well versed in the mechanics of the game itself, but I've been gone for a year and I have a couple of questions I need answered (I'd figure it out myself in-game, but I'm not actually able to play just yet, so I thought I'd ask here). 1) I use a primarily dual handgun/karate mix as my main setup, what I'm wondering is since cr 2.0 (which I was able to play on the playtest server) what kind of buffs should I be looking for out of my clothing setup?, I've still got all my pre cr 2.0 stuff and I'm certain I'll need to revamp my inventory. I also use a pure MA blend of karate/aikido sometimes. I rarely ever use hacks or anything of the like, if I do, its only to heal. So yea, what kinds of clothes should I be looking for? 2) Second question, I'm sitting at level 48 and have been for a long time now, I've got a pretty good idea on my own of how to grind out the last two levels, what I'm wondering is how much of a difference those last two levels make under cr 2.0? I know that before the combat update the last two levels weren't really a big deal, other than you get the last upgrade bonus in your desired tree. How much of a difference does it make? The answer will reflect my hurriedness to get to 50, if its not a big deal I'll take my time getting there, but if something has changed and it would be in my benefit I'll grind it out quick. Thanks in advance for any help/advice offered.

So, I don't know if this question has already been asked of the community, but actually I was inspired to ask it so here I go. Seeing as how we all play MxO and we enjoy the cool combat system, I was actually wondering how many of you out there have actually had previous martial arts experience. Since I started I'll go first. I've been in martial arts for about 4 years now, and I've studied three different styles so far. I've studied Tae Kwon Do, Tang Soo Do (similar to Tae Kwon Do), and Kenpo. I am currently studying the last two, I gave up Tae Kwon Do it just wasn't for me. I enjoy Tang Soo Do over Tae Kwon Do because well at least at my school its a bit more practical, but I still get the traditional grace and flexibility of the high flying pretty looking kicks. Kenpo Karate is a mainly striking art, I study the Americanized version created by Ed Parker. It focuses more on body mechanics and actually trying to get the most amount of force and damage in the quickest most efficietnt way. Both arts together (though they are hard to keep seperated and I always get yelled at for blending them together) actually compliment each other very well. Tang Soo Do has excellent kick techniques but they don't focus nearly as much on the hands. Kenpo has devastating hand techniques. Mixing the two provides me with high flying kicks that look great and really hard hitting hand techniques. I plan on taking more arts in the future, when I attain my black belt in both my current arts I plan on taking Aikido, Muay Thai, and then maybe something in the Bujinkan family of Ninjutsu. Ambitious I know, but martial arts is actually a major thing in my life, I'd do it everyday if I could. If it would support my wife and I I just might give up my job for it, but thats not pheasable so its just a hobby now. Decided to start this post because I just had a test today in Tang Soo Do for my next belt level and I've been in a martial artsy mood all day, so yea.

## Broadcast Depth ## Incoming Transmission... ## Ex // HvCFT Argus ## RELAY Initialized - Zion Mainframe // Journal Entry ID: 64-2 I woke up in the middle of the night again, cold sweat running down my face, my hands clenching the sheets of my cot as I sat up and peered into the darkness of my solitary room. The same dream, it just keeps playing over in my head like a skipping record, I can't wash the images away. It has only been a few days since I got my letter of release, ever since I received the news the dreams have started up again, maybe my subconscious is reminding me of why I hate them all so much. Making sure I don't forget what I'm still alive for, what my purpose is. Whatever the reason, they keep getting more intense too. I see it as clearly as if it had happened just the day before and not a year ago: The fire, burning hot, hotter than anything I've ever felt, burning me as I try to find anyone still alive from the initial explosion. Wandering around in the acrid smoke calling out to anyone who may still be there but knowing full well no one could have survived the blast, I didn't have time to think about why I had. Then I heard it a screaming woman, crying out for help as I made my way through the wreckage towards the voice, eventually I saw it and it still haunts me to this day. There was a single hand, reaching out from the dense smoke, a coughing voice crying for help, I reach for the hand and in my dream I almost touch it, in reality I did touch it. Just as my hand comes close enough to reach the I-beam overhead breaks free and comes down presumably right on top of the unknown lady, the hand goes limp as a small splatter of blood hits my face. I start screaming, in my dream this is the part where I wake up. In reality, it was so much more horrifying. After the beam fell I tried to find my own way out, but I couldn't see through the smoke of the wreckage and it was beginning to fills my lungs, I thought to myself at the time, how cruel fate could be, letting me survive the blast only to be suffocated by the toxic smoke of the aftermath. As I resigned myself to death the second blast came, the fire probably spread to the core, or maybe it was another bomb, I never knew and had no time to care. The force of it knocked me out, so everything that happened afterwards is a mystery to myself and everyone else. I woke up several days later in the med bay at Zion, seems a passing hover barge spotted the wreckage and stopped to look for survivors, I was outside of the crash on the rock floor, the first person they found apparently, and the only one still alive. Looking back on it I can understand the military's suspicions, the only person to walk away from a hover barge explosion, found unconscious outside of the wreckage, it doesn't paint a pretty picture for my defense. It also helps that I have no idea what happened either, or how I got out of the crash. They keep asking me who I was working for, and why I'd do such a thing. I can hear it in their voices though; they don't even believe a word their saying. The funny thing about politics is that, for every bad thing that happens someone has to be to blame, and if the ones in charge don't know who really did it, or are trying to save face with some higher entity a scapegoat must be found, someone to take the fall. Though I couldn't prove my innocence they had no way to truthfully connect me to the explosion either, so I was shown leniency, but that didn't keep them from tearing into me. Words like Mentally Unstable, Paranoid, and Obsessive Compulsive became my new best friends as they handed down my sentence. That pretty much brings us all up to speed doesn't it, I've been down here ever since, left to rot and let my hatred brew, a big mistake if you ask me. Before this all happened I remember people used to ask me all the time why I had such a grudge against the machines, I was never able to explain myself to them, because honestly I couldn't understand how anyone could not have a grudge against them. For me though, it was so much more than a grudge, it was pure simple hate. You know, I've always found it funny that the same people who stood there in the mouth of the cave ready to die protecting the freedom of Zion, the same people who had the same hate in their eyes as I did, staring down the swarm of squiddies there, were the ones who welcomed the Truce with open arms. End the violence; build a world we can all live peacefully in. I never bought into that propaganda. What I think people always fail to realize is that as long as the machines exist man will be subservient to them. I for one would rather die on my feet than live on my knees. I cannot simply overlook the fact that I was the only survivor of a Cypherite bombing, there has to be a reason for my existence, a method to this madness, everything has a purpose. Morpheus understood this, even when all of Zion turned their back on him, he still carried out his purpose only to be cut short by another rogue program of the system. I won't let the same happen to me, I will see the machine city fall, and I will see it burn at my feet. If people have to die in order for me to achieve this goal then so be it, after all you can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs right? I'll kill untold numbers, I'll spill rivers of blood if I must, to achieve my goal, and it is that blood that will wash away the weakness that has crept into the hearts of every man, woman, and child in Zion. Perhaps I am insane...but then it isn't really as if I've got anything left to lose either, they already took it all away from me. In this terrible world we live in: I’m mad, You're mad, Here We Are All Mad! ##End Transmission

## Broadcast Depth ## Incoming Transmission... ## Ex // HvCFT Argus ## RELAY Initialized - Zion Mainframe // Journal Entry ID: 64-1 Right...I got the message just today, I was rudely awakened this morning from a very pleasant dream I might ask, by a loud pounding on my front door. I wasn't expecting anyone so I was doubly suspicious as to who would be looking for me, I didn't even bother to think about the fact that I wasn't supposed to have visitors. The floor was a little more cold than normal as I walked over to the door and heaved it open squinting and leaning my head out of the door and trying to make out the look of the man standing there before me. He handed me a tablet, said he was just a courier, and then walked off. "Good day to you to..." I said with more than a hint of hostility as I turned around and slammed my door shut again, not bothering to lock it up. I threw the tablet onto my counter as I pulled another can of degreaser from the ice box and took a long drink...that stuff burns like hell, tastes like it too. Didn't matter to me that it was to early to be drinking, not like I was going anywhere, I sat down at the counter and picked up the frustrating tablet muttering about what could possibly be so important to come down here to this pit and wake me up, just as I took another long swig of that burning alcoholic mess my eyes sprang wide open, the fog of sleep still hovering over me vanished almost instantly. "You've got to be kidding me..." There was disbelief in my voice as I peered down at the tablet reading the message the unpleasant courier had brought to me down in my hole. Time was up, my sentence had been concluded and I was to be reinstated as soon as the red tape went through all the proper political channels. Had it really been a whole year? I put the drink down and started mulling over the events of the past, which was never a good thing for me to do, seeing as how all it ever left me with was an aftertaste of hate. I felt that old anger swell up in me again, more so than I had ever since I'd finally settled in down here in the pits. They couldn't find a way to silence me physically...they didn't have anyone with the brass buttons for that kind of job, so they found a way to silence me politically. I never cared for the bureaucrats and their damned laws. All I remember of the arraignment was some counselor who'd never seen a day of battle spewing political jargon at me like fire and brimstone. Words like reckless behavior, Political Correctness, and Sensitive situation; someone had to be made an example of and the person taking the fall was going to be me. The whole time all I could think of was putting my fist through his pretentious face. There is no place for political correctness in war, which for the life of me I couldn't understand why no one else realized that’s what had been going on. This whole time, I was just a bargaining chip to my own people, they'd punish me for my misconduct and shine things up real nice with the robotic freak shows, everybody wins...everyone except for me. Still, everyone knew it was a sham case anyways, so they couldn't exactly kill me, or even keep me caged for too long, they made an acceptable agreement with the machines, one year in solitary confinement down in the pits of Zion, they didn't bother to post a guard or even take any of my personal possessions away, they weren't worried about me acting up down here, wasn't anything I could do anyways but sit and wallow in my own frustrated anger. The message said that my Captain's status was to be reinstated under the condition that I cease to irritate our respected and valuable allegiant members: The Machines. That last bit really got my goat bad, but I was able to restrain myself, I couldn't believe they were actually going to let me back into the Matrix. I haven't heard anything about what is going on up in Zion, or in the Matrix for that matter, the food delivery guys don't say a word, in fact I usually never even see them. Perhaps some of that trouble that was brewing a year ago has finally surfaced and a man of my particular talents is needed again. In any case, my time was up, another couple of weeks and I'll be jacked back in. The thought of it was frighteningly exciting to me; I had come to realize during my isolation that The Matrix provided me with an outlet for my natural violent tendencies. I never realized it because while I was in the Matrix there were always people and programs that needed...taking care of. Let me just say that there was never a lack of body counts on my data sheet at the end of the day. When I got down here, all by myself and really had time (for the first time in my real life) to look closely at my own personality I realized that I was by nature an extremely violent individual. You might almost label me a monster with the things that go on inside this skull of mine. Though I will admit, I've had plenty of time to come to terms with this, and learn to keep it under wraps for that matter. It'll just be my little secret...my murderous intent. In any case the idea of being put back to work, doing what I do best, fulfilling my purpose, was indeed a very pleasant one. I'll admit it, I loved the killing, enjoyed it and perhaps that is why I was so efficient at it, but I learned well from that mistake, the very talent that I was praised for in war-time was what landed me here during The Truce. No, no I wouldn't make the same mistake twice, when I get back up to Zion I'm going to show them what an exemplary soldier I've become. Yes sir, I'll have those tablets on your desk by the end of the day sir. Can I get you something to drink sir? Perhaps a cushion for your seat sir? I'll be the model individual of the Zion military and as friendly as friendly can be to our chummy little allies the Machines. I'll play their game for now, I decided as I put the tablet down and went over to my door pulling it open and stepping outside to look at the barren rock walls that surrounded my enclosure as I stared out into the murky depths of the chasm I was in that familiar cold began to grip me. The smooth and heartless steel that closed around my heart, steadying my whole body, creating a sense of nothingness all over me, and I began to smile deeply, clenching my fist. They said I was insane...maybe I was did it really matter? Even if I was, I still have my purpose and I can't deny it. I'm a killer, born and bred I thought. "And I'll be one till I'm cold and dead!" I began to laugh, almost uncontrollably as I screamed into the chasm beneath me with a years worth of rotting apathy lifted from my shoulders. "You hear me you damned machines!? Until I'm dead!" They killed my crew, destroyed my ship, left me to rot down in the pits of this freezing cold hell, but now my time was up and I was coming back. "That's right fella's I'm coming back...and I hope you're all ready to bleed because I'm coming to collect on the debt you owe me!" Another fit of laughter took me as I wandered almost mindlessly back to my room and shut the door, I waited there for the two week period to pass. ## End Transmission

Allrighty, I figured that since this game is the main reason I'm attempting to enhance my internet connection I thought I would ask you all for a little help. First let me explain the setup I have in mind: I need to run a network connection between two homes, roughly about 600 feet apart. Thats the biggest problem right off the bat, maximum distance for a single piece of cat5 cable to retain its signal strength is about 90 meters (roughly 295 feet), and again it wouldn't be so difficult if I could just put a simple switch in the middle of the run, however I don't know how I'm going to get power between the two homes, because the space between is just desert. Wireless isn't an option because I have a really tight budget so I can't afford anything powerful enough to go the 600ft distance to the house in question. Now my question for you all is, do you have any suggestions? or does anyone know where (preferably not ebay) I could get my hands on some cheap ethernet cable in bulk or already terminated? I couldn't care less there. Or does anyone know where I could get a couple of cheap wireless switches (because if I can setup a couple of wireless switches I can run a segment of maybe 100ft or less of cat5 from each house to the switches which will cut down on the length of cable I need by quite a bit)? Thanks in advance for anyone who offers up some suggestions or advice.

So yea, here I am back again. How many people ever actually come back after they leave a game? Its been over a year now since I was forced to cancel out my subscription because of my satellite internet connection. Recently I've worked out a solution that I plan on implementing here in the near future so I've picked up my subscription again and will hopefully be able to play within the month. I didn't see to many familiar faces while browsing over the posts in general, so I thought I would re-introduce myself, as it would seem there are plenty of new faces around. So hello to everyone new, and for anyone who actually remembers who I am...cool. I look forward to getting right back into the swing of things, I know I've missed a whole year of content/updates/storyline so I'll be quite a while catching up with everyone, but I am glad to be back and hopefully my plan to get a better internet connection will pan out (provided I find a good place to get bulk ethernet cable for cheap). In any case, I've said more than enough and might be out of bounds on the posting rules, so I'll stop wasting everyone's time now.

Well, I was avoiding writing something like this for fear of it being considered one of those blasted "goodbye" letters, but this is more for anyone who cares to know why than it is to say goodbye. I'm not leaving thegame by any means mind you, but I am taking a leave from playing because of some trouble with my satellite internet connection.
See I live in a desert, and because of that I can't get regular dsl or cable...I could get....dial-up but then that would be even worse. In any case satellite is my only option thus far, and as many of you know it is horrendous for online game playing. The strange thing is I can still play the other online games a play without much interference, this is the only one that gives me trouble. Pain in my *CENSORED* I tell you because this is my favorite game. So I just wanted to let everyone who might have wondered where I ran off too why I ran off. I'm still around and not going anywhere, I just can't play with that kind of latency.
In any case if you know me and cared huzzah now you're filled in, if you know me and didn't care..well...that just isn't nice. Finally if you don't know me, ignore me it works well enough.
I'll be lurking about so yea....no goodbyes here.

Hello everyone, I wanted to toss a question out there regarding satellite internet connection. I know it is notoriously bad for playing games such as MxO but unfortunately in my area it is my only choice. So with no other alternative (aside from...dial-up) I have had it installed. Now I have a pretty good speed of about 761.1 kbps/sec and that does me just fine. However I experience some in game lag while moving, not while in interlock mind you, and not while standing still, only when moving, or attempting to use things such as HL's, elevators, and dead bodies. Anyways, i know it is due to the satellite, because in my previous location I had no troubles. However, I would like to know if anyone can offer any suggestions to possibly decrease my response time and make good use of that 761 kbps stream. Any takers...or am I just SOL?
Thanks in advance.

## Broadcast Depth ## ## Incoming Transmission... ## ## Ex \\ HvCFT Argus ## ## Relay Initialized ## They tried to keep me in.... They tried to keep me quiet.... They failed and I made it Home
I can't believe I made it back alive. More than I can say for those other poor bastards. Walking the rigging of Zion one more time, meditating at the temple gates, feeling the true dirt of the earth beneath my feet one more time. Being home was more like a drug to me than a 'vacation' as the Commander put it. In any case, they have finally reinstated my flight status and approved the use of captain Rowan's ship...Captain....Eh, nonsense.
I guess I should probably let everyone know that I'm still alive, and not for the lack of trying on the Machines part. This transmission is most undoubetdly bugged so I will speak in generalities, however at the end I do have a more personal message in mind. In any case, I escaped my captors and left not one of them alive. Why they assigned nameless fools to guard me I'll never know, perhaps arrogance on the Machines parts.
But here I am, in the flesh and code of the Matrix once more and I find myself up to my same old tricks. You think I would have learned my lesson by now, but some people are just incourageble it seems. Now my hatred for the Machines is even stronger, their attempt to silence me has failed, though they succeeded in destroying everyone I ever cared about.
Since I know you're listening, I'll save you the trouble of the trace, I'm in Moriah, the eastern spot, my favorite, but I won't be here long. So if you'd like to fight, I suggest you hurry before I move on to some of my other old haunts. Just know this slaves, you failed to kill me in the Matrix, you failed to kill me in the Desert, and you failed to kill me in Zion. Now I'm back, and death is on its way for you, perhaps my luck will be a bit better than yours was in this endeavour. Enjoy your fleeting moments of life, because now the eyes of the Guardian are upon you; and it is only a matter of time.
That will be all for now, I'm going to hang up this phone, and I'm going to wreak havoc upon the sanity you have built my Machinist friends. You stole my life from me, and now...it is time to pay the piper.

Hello there, I bet anyone reading this thread was probably expecting some sort of negative, hate filled goodbye letter like I've seen so many of. However you'd be wrong...HA!
Most of the people I see posting these days, I've never heard of, but there are a few familiar old faces out there. This post is directed to the very few of those, that might just remember who I am. A few months back I took a little break from MxO to sort out some stuff (like moving across the country to Southern California) and also to do a little side project known as The White Rabbit. I didn't have time to keep up on these forums and work on that project and cope with moving and settling, so I cut out the forums. In retrospect I imagine I could have found some time to browse, which I've been doing lately, so I thought I'd pop back in finally, since I've finished moving entirely and The White Rabbit is kind of up in the air. In any case, I've returned to the forums, and thus to the game itself. I'll save everyone the lengthy intro speeches and just let everyone know that I am a devout Machine-aggitator when it comes to the RP side of this game. I head the faction Argus Guardians, whose current member enrollment consists of me, myself, and I. On the non-rp side of the game, I'm a pretty helpful player for new folks, and I try to keep my discussions level headed and to the point. In any case to those that remember me by chance, I've returned. To those that never knew me, hello it is nice to meet you
Later.

So I figure I'd just post up a fun little topic for us all to chew on.
What is/are your favorite movie/movies, this is of course excluding the Matrix movies, so list what you're other favs are.
1. The Crow (first one only, the rest are crap, Brandon Lee is the man)
2. Hero
3. Dogma
4. Super Troopers
5. Appleseed (original or new version, both are pretty cool)
6. The Blues Brothers
7. Ghostbusters I & II

Well hello everyone, folks from the old boards might know me, I had a
decent post count. To all the new folks or old returning people
out there I just wanted to say welcome aboard for the new time.
I'm whipping this post up at work because I'm broed out of my skull and
the negativity of some of the threads (while relevant and very
truthful) is bumming me out a bit, so I thought I'd lighten the
mood. Enjoy.
"Do you know what it really reminds me of?...Tasty Wheat, did you ever eat Tasty Wheat?"
"No."
"But technically, neither did you."
"Thats my point exactly. Exactly. Beacause you have to wonder
now, how do the machines really know what Tasty Wheat tasted
like? Huh? Maybe they got it wrong, maybe what I think
Tasty Wheat tasted like actually tasted more like uhhh oatmeal or errr
tunafish. Ya'know it makes you wonder about a lot of things
doesn't it? Like maybe they couldn't figure out what to make
chicken taste like which is why chicken tastes like everything an..."
"Mouse, shutup."
As I said, enjoy your tasty wheat.
