Not to sure if i will ever play another MMO like i played MxO, Mainly because of how easy it is to have all your work you put into it erased in the blink of an eye. The only game that seems anyway near tempting at the moment is DC Online  the rest seem to be aimed and 4-8 year olds, If that doesnt work out I will most likely move back to console's after the servers have shut down >_>

It is true players are more important than the game itself, but it is also true we may not be able to meet people with the same preference if the game itself doesn't fit.

I have just reserved a flight and am going to register. It is 11 hour flight like last year.
Due to limited schedule, I will not able to join fully, but hope to join from Saturday' afternoon and surely attend the grand banquet.

I hope we can keep a convention room for talking about MxO's memory, or we may rage on the Las Vegas' street.

I am playing MxO because I am a big fan of the Matrix trilogy. This is the only one MMO I am playing and I cannot find another place after MxO.

1. The Agency no more attracts me.

2. I have visited some of the websites of games posted above, but cannot find a good one. I am not interested in fantasy world with sword and magic. Though there are some games with city, gun and action, I don't  feel they are as stylish as MxO.

3. EVE looks very cool, but I am not sure I can keep a motivation as well as MxO.

I am most likely to go back to the real world. It's very sad. I don't like the SOE's way replaces MxO with a childish crap game.

How would such a recreation (Second Life) be in terms of quality, "accuracy" etc.? Can you just copy an environment from a game to 2nd life, or does it have to be manually recreated?

We have to make them manually and this process requires some computer graphic skills. I tried to create some items, but immediately found it was not very easy for me and took some times. I feel not everyone can make it.

If we can afford to, we can create a mega city world in Second Life, like Star Wars. Of course it is not an official franchise, but we can keep the Matrix fan community, RP, and others. (I wish I had more time to do so!) I remember there were some small matrix related clubs, shops, and buildings, but I am not sure because I have not logged on there days.
As for official ones, I feel we need to give Wachowski Brothers a few years unless some company purchases the MxO license.

I will go even though I will not be able to join all days of Fan Faire due to tight schedule.
Without an official panel, is there any good time and place for MxO players to gather in the event site?
I hope we can occupy one of the conference rooms or meeting spaces.
Last year's Friday night party was fun, but this year it seems to be only for EQ players.

Please increase drop rate of red frags, too.

Coming back of old movie series is not unusual. Indiana Jones has come back after 19 years. Also, there was a blank Star wars' 3rd movie and 4th one.
However, the best way is some other company purchases the license of the game itself.
I wish I were a game company CEO.

I haven't completed all 11.3-12.1 missions and Pandora's box stories yet.

Today I got an approval from my boss to take a leave, came back my home, and heard the worst news of MxO's end.
I cannot find a word to describe this sad feeling.
I wonder how many people join the event attend Fan faire after hearing the news.
I hope to have a good ending and leave with a memory of nice people in both the real world and virtual one even if the death is inevitable.

I almost lost my word for sadness.
MxO is not just a game. It is the largest Matrix fan community, a community with nice people from worldwide, a part of my life, and the only one MMO I have been played.
The only one consolation is the final event will be held when I am available.

There is a possibility my workplace will prohibit all employees' oversea trips due to H1N1.
Such a thing often occurs in Japan.
In addition, I may have to train a new employee in June.

I want to meet MxO people, including the Assassin, even if SOE gives us no MxO stuff. It may be the last chance for MxO players.
If Lady Luck smiles on me, I will be able to join. If not, ...

Great idea. It is a good way to revive this game without an official storyteller, because we already have many cool people who create stories of the Matrix.

I will be back to the real world, or built a matrix'y world in Second Life or something to stay there.
I hope MxO exists for more years.

Sad news. I almost lost my words for two days. You are the one who gave us matrix'y stolylines and your work is great. You entertained big (and sometimes opinionated) fans of the Matrix trilogy. I cannot imagine MxO without Rarebit. Due to timezone problem, I was able to join an event only once (EPN meeting), but it was a memorable day. You will be missed.

I was very happy to have seen you in the real world last year and had a great time. You are a very nice guy whom I cannot forget until the end of my life. I planned to travel to the US for Fan Faire again this year. I hope you join as a guest, if you are OK.

Thank you for the video interview and nice comments! I am honored. I must be the luckiest fan faire attendee in 2008.

I will be happy if it encourages players living away from the fan faire venue, as you can meet nice people.
I hope to see you again in this year, even though I am not sure I can. (11 hours flight is not a problem for me, but it is difficult to take a vacation in most Japanese workplaces. )

Most of the updated contents concering the storyline seems to be good for me, especially the great cinematic. I appreciate Rarebit's work.

I do not know how new style missions will work. I understand they can be finished in a day. However, since we will have chances to join new style live events (though we have not had any events yet), it does not mean people finished the missions no more log on.

I think the highlight of the update is new style live event. As everybody has his/her own style, some player like pvp and others not, some like gathering items and others not, and some like critical missions and others not. But I can confidently say most players love live events

Due to RL things, I have just completed this mission.

Very nice mission. The title really fits the final phase. I cannot wait the next update!

I didn't noticed the noisy busride was filmed.

Next year's Fan Faire will be three times better than that of this year.

As one of the players enjoying the storyline, I think most of these changes are good.

It's sad no more colored tag will be added. But I can accept this change as EPN members are allowed to join Zion meetings.

What I am expecting the most is organization meeting. Under the current system, new players may have a difficulty to find team mates. Meetings help new players to find mission team members. People in factions also get a good opportunity for recruiting.

What I am concerning the most is event  time. I hope event start times vary. As you know, my Asian Pacific (AU/NZ) timezone is the worst timezone for MxO. Though I know most players are living US or EU, I want some small opportunities to join the events.  I hope some are held around 10 or 11 AM MCT for EU players (Players in AU timezone can join if they get up early in the morning). I think various event times can reduce lags and server crashes caused by a large population.

Anyway, I always appreciate the devs' work. I cannot wait the update.

NO. It's not an error... they just want us to play EQ/II instead of MxO.
