Answer me this Virrago, is it entirely IMPOSSIBLE for charactor transfer or server merges to happen.

At least let us transfer charactors , I want to goto Vector

To be fair, it should be free, and then they should charge you for stuff like Changing your handle, or Transfering Servers, or Transfering info across servers, Then they'd still make money but have a lot of players also, like what are they spending the money on now i'd love to know....

This!!! I love pvp but just can't stand the blue attacks or hardline away to go deflag. Some very big lilnub has been showing the me the best ways of doing it lol Such a turn away. Look i can hit conceal right beside you and you can't do jack till the snipe goes through, wth lol Buffs seem to be alot more used aswell and also the vast majority of people don't flag up till theres more of them... i'm sorry but that just ain't quite pvp. I'm normally on the outnumbered side, and guess what, i still pvp. Buffs do however normally get people to log so i end up a billied v a gank ha ha

I understand what the OP is trying to do but it won't happen. Vectorites will not leave (no wonder) and well people are to scared of the hostility. You know that recon button, its a quick touch to get back into the LA... You live, you die. Way of life.

I'm all for having a better population. Only way i can see anything happening is a server merge with reccy/syn and maybe offer a transfer to 'pvprs' to come over. Or the, choose which server before you log in.

I agree man, That's why i said Vector from the word go, people who don't want to PvP can go sit downtown and do what they normally do, which is i don't know what.......... They wouldn't be troubled.

And if you don't like to PvP on this game then what the hell is wrong with you!

Matrix is all about fighting with guns and fists, and if you bought the game because of the storyline, then it's gone now, so you really should turn to RPPvP or something, because there is nothing left for you to do...........

I don't, if you have to start from scratch if the server chosen is not your main or even secondary server.  Would you be willing to cut Zippy loose?  I know I wouldn't be interested in cutting my main char loose or even my other 50 on Recursion.

I still support a 3 to 2 merge, a 3 to 1 merge, or the ability to /copychar over to the new "main" server (although you'd need to add slots to accomodate your alts migrating).

 

What would you rather have, Millions of Info or people to play with... Answer me this...

This is the best idea i've heard in a while.  I was talking with someone the other day about doing this on Syntax since it's the most populated right now.  I was able to get full mission teams of lowbies and we had a blast! The Vector twist on this makes it an even better idea.  I have a lvl 12 there now so if everyone's up for it let's reroll!

That's the spirit!! Like i said it DOESN'T have to be vector as long as we all agree on a server and smash up the population. I mean i'd hate leaving my charactor as much as the next guy it has Patcher's Headgear and allsorts....

But for the sake of the game i'd remake a newbie in a second..

Like i am saying Server Merge will never happen, That's why i am saying to everyone to make charactors on one server, if you don't want to lvel to 50 again, then why are you playing this game?

I was just giving my own opinion like i said the server would be debated by the players

Aslong as everyone joins one server, (not like a server merge is going to happen) It will have to be a manual merge by the players themselves.. Since i doubt the devs will do this..

If you don't want to join the pvp server, then join Syntax or Recursion, the obvious choice would be Syntax as it already is the most populated...

We still need more people for this to work though..

Oh yes i have resubbed, Why would i re-sub at such a delicate time of the games lifespan.

Because i believe a game with a community as devoted as this one, the game that serves the community cannot die.

I have ideas which will work if everyone agrees to it.

Firstly: One Server: Population would increase to a new high, of what players are left, it would be like the good old days, i know everyone may not have a charactor on every server, but i say that's lucky for them as they get to relive the entire experience of when they first had the game, and the missioned with fellow Newbies.

Which server would be decided by a debate.

Secondly: With the server population increased it would make the community more alive again, PvP orientated players would return knowing that the PvP has returned to the game once again, more players to RP with bringing back the RP'ers to the game, Who needs a storyline when you can make your own, the game has the content to do so, All it needs is creative minds which i believe this game has got.

Thirdly: Bring in players who would act as LESIG having organasational meetings and such, events can be organised by these people of each org.

I believe that we can make this game alive again, all we need to do is band together there is more then enough players on all three servers, to make 1 server which will then be as alive as ever..

If i had to put my opinion into this i'd say Vector should be the server.. I don't have a charactor on vector but even then i know it's the most appealing to everyone, even RP would be better with an element of PvP to it, As long as people don't abuse...

I like the events where two orgs clashed.

Say one org was told to do one thing, and the other was told to try and stop them doing that, that way it's all about the players, which will make the end result. That's just my input.

Me and Bankypoo was playing that last night, its not that bad.

I've had alot of awesome experiences in this place. but one of my favorites has nothing to do with any main char or live event. It has more to do with something called the Simulacrum.

 

You see, when I was a wee nubs, I didnt know much about hotbars and abilitys. MxO was my first mmo.

At first, of course, I didnt have a faction or many friends at all, no real guidance. But eventually I was recruited to <DeathStalkers>. Now during a particularly long mission grind, people were givng me advice from every way, which naturally confused me. I didnt focus on one tree because I was new, so I had everything loaded from the 3 initial trees. Plus a few that my capt, Windstriker , had made me. Now during this time, as we were running missions I noticed that one of our team wasnt saying much. I tried talking to him, but no response. Eventually we ended our grind and I turned to one of my factionmates and said, "That Aikido Simulacrum guy must not speak english or something." I was met with a "?", then followed by "lols" as they realized that I hadent been just talking crazy to "whoever" during our missions.

I in fact, thought the Sim of mine was a factionmate.
