unsui Nanashi always felt there was something wrong with the world. Something... not real.
As a child, Junsui's mother would tell her stories to calm her during storms. Things like how the rain was God's tears and the thunder his footsteps. What her mother didn't know was Junsui believed the stories almost as much as she believed the rain was real at all.
In the Nanashi family, the boys were told to study the Martial Arts. It did not matter what they chose only that they became proficient and excel at it. Junsui, an only child of a father that died when she was yet a baby, wanted to follow the men in her family and picked up Karate at a young age. Her cousins and uncles laughed at the idea, spouting ideals of women belonging in the house to cook and clean, not to fight. It didn't matter though... she knew she'd need the expertise some day, though she didn't know why.
As Junsui entered high school she found a passion second only to her Martial Arts training... technology. A whole new realm of computers and networked information sat before her and she would spend hours in front of her computer at night... searching for information... for anything that would validate her feelings about the world. Then she found it... a story about a terrorist group in Megacity. A group of people who believed the world was just a silk, pulled over their eyes to blind us from the truth. It was what she had been looking for all along.
Junsui began studying all she could about this group of people who called themselves "Zionites". She saved her money and soon after graduation made the decision to pack her things and move to the hub of these "terrorists". She didn't know what it was but something drew her there... she felt more at home there than she ever had in her little Japanese town.
And then, she met him... never sharing his real name, she only knew him as Mouse. He was about her age and though she couldn't explain it, there was some strange attraction to him. She recogn
