Last couple of times i've connected the launchpad crashes (standard 'this program has crashed, do you want to send a report to microsoft' box).
This occurs after i've hit play and the window has vanished, but before the game starts.
The game still starts as normal and there are no other problems after this.
The only recent change to my machine was an automatic update (win xp)- it installed about 7 things and i've no idea what they were. Is there a way to replace just the launchpad if it's damaged?

It did that over and over to me a while ago. I uninstalled, downloaded the exe from the PS website and updated it. Not a big deal since it doesn't take long for Planetside to update.
