True statement
I have been back in Planetside little more then one month, after an extended one-year break, and never seen a game in such a bad state.Massive amounts of hackers constantly online without any kind of action taken what so ever.A HA weapon buffed to the extent that no single VS seem to need SA anymore, and why should they. Put 5 people spamming in random directions and nothing can get within 100 feet before being killed by the lash (and the occasional orb that actually do hit).Utterly worthless, and meaningless, developer responses to player concerns presented over and over on the official forums. You seem to have completely lost contact with your playerbase, i.e. YOUR CUSTOMERS, and sadly I don't think you can ever rebuild the trust you once had. The playerbase don't want to see some poor forum mod move X amount of hacker posts to the "internal forums" every day, just to realize nothing at all will be done. If this game is going to survive until the "supposed server merge" you need to take action and not just state "it's being looked into", which you seem to have as mantra at the moment. And just so you realize it, repeating your mantra mean jack sh1t to the subsrcibers when you don't take any visible action. I remember the times way back when I would be amazed to see one ( 1 ) hacker during the course of a month, now I see them every day. And lots of them as well. As a lot of people have pointed out before. We pay for a service that you currently don't provide to full extent. We shouldn't have to be subjected to exploiter and hackers. We shouldn't have to be subjected to some poorly thought out buff to any empire. So, here are a few questions that I, and probably more players, would like answered. And answered in another fashion than the usual "We are looking into it.". 1. Do you have an action plan to target the increasing amount of hackers in the game?2. If so, when can we expect to see those actions take effect?3. You toppled over the balance for indoor-fights completely with the lasher buff, what are you going to do about it?

You couldn't have summed planetside any better. SImple minded people still post about ideas and fixes. It's the same idea's, fixes i've seen since 2004. wake up people. SOE never built planetside thus can't fix the issue's. It's like somebody handing you a science project to claim all to yourself but when questions or problems arise with it, you just look at whoever and *shrug*
Shrug away mo-fo's.

You sir, fail at editing posts.
Ever since this Lasher buff it seems things have become pretty unsavory for the PS community.
Today, April 10th.. There were 4 hackers on throughout the day. I appealed them 5 times, what do I get? Absolutely NO CSR response. None what so ever. We also had 2 players, DF and PaleRider who contacted SOE, both got bad responses. Especially Darkfate whose contact support person said for him to stop playing Planetside. What happened today? Did the CSRs take a personal day off or something? This is getting sad SOE, clearly today showed how much you care about this game. These cheaters were on for 6+ hours, I logged off so I couldn't tell you how long they were actually on. Can't you guys go after the websites releasing trainers? I mean you can bring up the fact that they are costing you money. What's even sadder is the fact that players ( NC cr5s) don't care if the game they pay for is getting ruined by cheaters. I logged on NC and found that most of them have the mentality of an eleven year old. Seriously NC, you gotta grow up.
Possible things SOE can do:
1) Show they still care about Planetside and have a FULL TIME CSR assigned to it.
2) Go after the websites that are releasing the trainers
Lhateheii currently hacking as a TR on Foresal, instagib, reveal radar and no need for DL.
However I say now with much certainty that at least 15-20% of the TR on Foresal right now are using some kind or reveal all or no DL hack.
5 years of playing a cloaker on Werner, a much harder server taught me what players can and cant do, this blatant hacking I believe is the death knell of this game.
In fact its going to get very embarrasing for SOE to the point that cost to produce anti-hacking v turning the servers off will mean servers go off.

Name - Empire - Offense - Action Taken
CompiexChaos - VS - Exploiting/Hacking - Banned from game
Banned from game and IP locked out for x period of time.
I received the exact same response, two hours later. I have no idea if they were infact banned or not because I wasn't Online.
Hackers are funny...it's like fighting the black ops, but more fun!
I was having problems with my appeal yesterday. I couldn't get the website to launch. It was either that or my game would just crash the moment I hit the button. Only tried in three times. I just reformmated to so it couldn't be any background programs. Possibly due to vista? Anyone...?
Having a GM in game 24/7 would solve the problem. Just send them a tell they can watch for 5mins and swing the ban stick.
Seriously where does everyones $15 go each month, Smeds donut fund?

The thread is emo because there is an apparent hacking problem and there is no mention from the developers what is being done about it?
Ok there are too many different threads being created about the cheaters instead of you guys posting all in one. Post your thoughts in this one to keep it all in one spot.
Please keep in mind, that CS is actively banning the cheater's accounts.
Keep it constructive, and keep the names out of here. Anything not constructive will be removed. (Personal attacks). Also all rules of the ToS will apply in here (cannot post CS resolutions, etc)
Ban IP addresses.
Not perfect but I think it would greatly reduce the hackers. I feel it's a small number of insecure epeeners responsible for 95% of the bans/problems.
