Reaver Stealth Buff???

Has the Reaver's armor been stealth buffed? Has any AA user noticed this? It seems to take a heck of alot more to down one now,  almost 30 rounds with a Burster which because of the Bursters ROF it now needs ALOT more time on target, resulting in death of course. What gives?

Best way to find out would be to pop into the VR room and shoot a few with different weapons.  Count the hits and see how you do.

True...an outfit mate did it and noticed it was maybe 25 rounds now(cannot remember the numbers exactly) Can anyone who is not working check? I noticed it takes a deal more now, and its not just shields.

Crastinus - I don't think the values in V training are teh same as on cont etc, I'm pretty sure some of them are outta whack.

If you're in game later on, shoot me a tell and I'll jump on a reaver alt and we can go test it for you if you want.

It's funny you mention this as I was in a SG the other day, flakking a reaver and it took for ever to kill it. I used to drive buggies full time when I was on NC and just remembered think whoa thats a ton of damage its soaking. I put it down to lag etc at the time.

So holler if you want to test it, I can pull a few reavers and see what the score is. I'll be on about 7pm GMT (2pm EST) onwards

I think it might have been buffed too.  I've noticed if a reaver has near full shields, a full clip from a Starfire will not kill it anymore.  As I recall, 8 starfire rounds used to kill a reaver even with full shields.

No probs, saving cash so will be on all night pretty late EST anyway. No nights out for me atm SMILEY

We can test starfire too if needs be. I have a few alts I can cert accordingly. I'll be on either my Kansai or KanyaVS char tonight so I'll switch chars up when you grab me in game.

Should pick a warp near a AMP and try it with and without shields too.

Remember that the cyssor benefit complicates things too (+ 10% armor, but does not change the shield armor).  A few months ago I tested the reaver armor and it has 855 armor points.  When you do your test, a quick way to test how much armor the Reaver now has is to get it to full shields, take it outside of an AMP station SOI, then fire a striker/lancer at it until it runs out of shields.  Repair it while somebody is inside and add up the repair total from the chat numbers.  Full amp station shields are 20% of the base armor and the lancer/striker does 125 damage per shot.  Do the math and see if the armor is still 855.

I never tested the AA weapons before, so if you still get 855, AA weapons could have been slightly nerfed.

Good idea though, I am pretty sure it has been stealth-buffed too. Or the Burster's flak is suffering slightly. Glitter is rarely wrong about AA matters, and he swears by it.

I think when they had that AC armor buff "event" a bit back they did not put the values back to their original levels.

For what it's worth I grabbed them anyway -

Burster : 20 hits (expected 18 )
Striker : 8 hits (expected 7)
Starfire : 7 hits (expected 6)
Lancer : 8 hits (expected 7)

It's consistent at least.

yep, sounds like it was certainly buffed then because a reaver (without the cyssor benefit or shields) used to die in 7 striker/lancer rounds.  I don't know if VR applies the cyssor benefit armor bonus to the vehicles or not....

Probably didn't remove some of the buffs during that vehicle event that occured a couple of months ago.
