So I always hear neutrals say that they dont wana choose a faction etc.... So they say they want their own faction but then wouldnt they be choosing a side? Implementing a Neutral faction is a complete oxymoron. I also hear ideas of allowing a 3 way pvp with a neutral faction, so i ask why is it ok to fight rebs and imps but its not ok to join either one i mean having a third faction is basically choosing a side. All and all being a neutral civilian means you do not fight. I do not support the creation of a third faction. that is all.
Here's a reason,
Smugglers BHs are both for hire, not working for either.
Here's a REAL reason ::
BALANCE
GCW buffs are horrifically overpowered, and NOT giving them to neutrals is absolutely stupid. Especially when 99% of generals went ROFLBASEBUST and honestly didnt achieve it themselves.

Hi.
I like what ya said about having a 3rd Faction enter into PvP. It's ad somwthing sxtra to the game. But also in saying that it would wreck the Storyline of Star Wars...Imp vs REb and all that. And besides I don't think Lucas Arts woul have a bar of it.
As it is Neutral Pilots in Space can already choose a side when they Pvp in Space.

Only because you haven't thought about it for more than a second. Neutrals are neutral because they don't want to join a current faction. ie, they don't want to be a Rebel or an Imperial, that doesn't mean they don't want to have a faction that they could join if the option was there. A Bounty Hunter that hunts both Imperials and Rebels doesn't want to join either faction, but would certainly consider joining a Jabba or Underworld Faction. A spy that hires out to the highest bidder to steal materials or assassinate targets isn't interested in joining either the Rebels or the Imperials, but would certainly consider joining a Mercenaries' Faction. The smuggler that ships illegal goods, people, and items about the galaxy doesn't want to be a Rebel or join the Imperial Army, but would certainly consider joining a Smugglers' Alliance Faction. Thge Arms dealer trading weapondry to both sides doesn't want to be a Rebel or an Imperial, but would join up with a Merchants' Faction.
Do you really think that Jabba and the other neutral forces in the Galaxy were not taking on both Imperials and Rebels when it suited them, and playing them against each other when that worked out better? Shooting at an Imperial doesn't make you a Rebel, joining the Rebel Alliance does that. Shooting at a Rebel doesn't make you an Imperial, joining the Imperial Military does that. Simply shooting at someone doesn't mean you are taking the other side unless you are stuck in a two side mentality. Remember the wonderful words of Treebeard. "I am on no one's side, because no one is on my side." It would seem that you think that unless you have joined one of those two organisations your blaster shouldn't be allowed to work when you point it at someone in one of those factions. That seems to be SOE's view too, and as we all know, they suck.

And yet funnily enough if you took the neutrals out of GCW period Star Wars you'd have three very crappy movies. Can you imagine ANH without Han, Chewie, and Luke? Can you imagine how the movie would have played out woith them being unable to attack Storm Troopers, or the other way around. How would have ESB gone without Boba Fett and Lando? RotJ? well some might say it'd be better without the Ewoks, but no Jabba's court either. Opps, there goes 2/3 of the movie, and the Rebels winning at Endor. Neutrals played a HUGE paly in the movies, often their decisions being the ones that altered the course of history throughout the movies (Luke and Han going to Rescuse Leia, Han returning to help the Rebels on the Attack on the Death Star, Boba Fett tracking the Falcon to Bespin, Lando betraying Han and getting him carbon froze, Lando betraying Vader and and rescuing Leia and Chewie, the Ewoks deciding to help the Rebels when all seemed doomed.) That the Neutrals arre them locked out in the game really is a serious betrayal of the movies and the real SWU in which neutrals and their actions are often as, if not more, important than the Rebels and Imperials..

Extreemly well said on both accounts. I don't think I coudl say it better.

If you think GCW Buffs are the be all end all of pvp, then you need to join a side and get em, The only one remotely useful is Last man Standing, and I have never put it on my toolbar and used it. Ever.
My point exactly
Yes, GCW buffs are mostly useless, Last man standing is ok when it works. The colonel buff is decent too.
many of the officer GCW buffs are useful when used properly. lemme see here, airstrike at general, damage buff at colonel, instant incap 8k heal/recovery at lt col, heal over time (950 when hit) at major, banner at captain (profession buff).
now if the gcw buff isn't "proc'ing" correctly thats a different story.

None of them have been worth the praise they get since the nerf to reactives who knows how long ago.
