Registered Fan Faire Attendees to Receive Exclusive Items!

5/29/2009 2:30 p.m.

That's right! All registered SWG Fan Faire attendees will be eligible to receive an exclusive item*. Details on how to claim your item(s) will be provided at the event.

  • Star Wars Galaxies™ - An in-game Dianoga Dumpster. No home is complete without one! The Dianoga Dumpster is the Trash Can with a distinctive difference; it not only eats your trash but also eventually spits back out a random collections item if you feed it once per week for four weeks. Dianogas are parasitic scavengers found living throughout the galaxy's refuse systems. One dianoga living aboard the Death Star almost devoured poor Luke Skywalker as he and his friends attempted to evade Imperial capture in a trash compactor. This will be handed out as a loot card in the Star Wars Galaxies Trading Card Game.

When you're registering, be sure to provide us with your correct account and contact information so we can grant your items after the show!

*Must have a valid, current subscription for each game for which an item is granted and provide accurate Station ID information at the time of registration in order to have your account flagged and receive the item. Items will be granted after the close of Fan Faire. More details on how to claim your item will be released at the event.

So now I will have the Dianoga Dumpster working in tandom with my Sarlac Trach Can.

Will this item be tradable? Or will it be a Trade-In type item like the Sarlac Trach Can? When will other loot from the TCG have the Trade-In option?

I was going to pay just to receive the item on a chance it might be as cool as the Target Dummy, but being I already have the deluxe Sarlacc, I don't see why I'd spend the money...

Cool item, but nothing special to me

Well, I'm not just going to pay for the Loot card.. Since I cannot come to Fan Faire because I live in Europe.

Not going to lie, this is really lame...Are we going to get a IG Painting at the very least like last year too?

Thats it? A retextured version of something we already have in game?? That's about as useful as the beta access they baited people with when this event was announced.

LOL

Are we able to get a refund I wonder? I'm really kind of ticked about this. I know I didn't pay $89 for the gift, but if this is any indication of what is to come for FF, I might just drop the event, chill in Vegas for the weekend and avoid the SWG poo.

This is just the item, Fan Faire itself should be a blast and a ton in store for SWG, I wouldn't back out because of this

Fan Faire will be about DC:O, Free Relms and EQ's Anniversary.

SWG will be about as featured as MxO was last year.

No.

I think there are at least 4 SWG events planned (Galactic Assembly, GCW something, Live Quest and something else)

If your only view of Fan Faire is "zomg what kind of phat lewt am I gonna get" then you're just wasting your time.
If you want the stuff and can't go, then get a day pass and call it good.
If you don't want the stuff and don't want to go, then move along.

The event is "barely" about SWG anyway.
But even so, sitting in the panels and getting to talk directly with the developers about the game is a blast.
...not to mention all the great food and alcohol.

Plus, I'm gonna let Jod stalk me again this year.

I was thinking about paying just to get the in-game item, thinking it was as nice as the painting of the Emperor offered a year or two back. But this thing is certainly not worth 89 dollars. Already got a couple of deluxe Sarlaacs, and a couple more "normal" ones.

Very disappointing, but nice to have the heads up ahead of time.
