Why cant i import a toon in online play...

Is it me, or everytime you go to join a freind online, you must start at level 1. Why cant you just have a Online toon where you can jump from game to game? Am I missing something here? Sure I can load my game with my level 40 character and continue where I left off, but whos goin to want to join me when I'm level 40, and the Last stage... With a Level 1 Toon... This doesnt make sense...

Only the host can import characters, so you have to talk to the host for getting his email address, transfer your saved game with your character with a USB-stick from your PS3 to your PC and attach it to a email to the host.
The host then has to save the attachment on a USB-stick and then transfer your saved game to his PS3.
Then the host can import your character and select you as the only one who can use it in the game he is hosting ... much too complicated for most players which doesnt seem to be intelligent enough for understanding how this works.

just say the host has no usb memory stick... will be easyer if they made a inport system like in Champions return to arms...
