I don't know how many people played the Norrath games on the PS2, but those who did probably remember them as fondly as I do.
Strangely though, those who share my love for those delightful diablo clones, most likely harbour the same bitter resentment at the third installment being brutally canned in favour of that Baldur's Gate rubbish...
Now some of you might be wondering what I'm doing ranting about Norrath in the ULDK forum, but the answer is quite simple.
You see in the original Norrath game, your character's maximum level was capped at 50. Initially this seemed a trifle odd to me, but when the awsome sequel (Return to Arms) was released, all began to make sense.
You see you could import your old (maxed out) character into RTA, and let the adventure continue, ultimately furthering your experience level to a whopping level 80 (if I remember rightly).
It seems reasonable to presume that the third installment that sadly never arose (that's my teeth grinding and water dripping out of my face you're hearing) WE NEVER GOT TO LEVEL 100!
So my "issue" is this. Untold legends sounds like it has a cap on it... *groan* I only bought it yesterday (I know, three years late to the table) but I hear there's a pretty low cap, maybe level 45? If anybody can confirm or refute this I'd be very grateful.
But if it does turn out to be a capped game it looks like we've been gazumped once again. I mean surely if a sequel was planned, we'd have seen it by now right?
I mean three years?
We'd have seen one by now right?!
So if asking for a sequel to ULDK is asking just a little too much, I was wondering; how hard/costly do you think it would be for SOE to release a patch that does away with the level cap, via PSN?
Oh please, if there is a gawd, please let it be so.
Please.
