I tried to play ULDK online on December 2. Apparently, you have to use the PS3 to navigate to the Xfire website and download their software onto the PS3 HD, before you can communicate with a USB keyboard during online gameplay. Otherwise, you cannot get any kind of instant messaging during gameplay. Also, you have to use a Bluetooth headset together with Xfire software in order to have voice chat online.

Is that true?  How are you communicating online?  Has anyone found a website that explains how to communicate online while playing ULDK online? If you were communicating by voice, what headset were you using?

Thanks!

I dont understand how to do it either. I have a Motorola bluetooth headset. I wanna be able to talk to people using voice chat when playing online games.

I would like a reply to this as well since being able to chat during online play interests me a lot. Is it possible at all on this game? If not, what is the Xfire login option for? Just tracking stats? Seems silly (to me) to have a ladder for an RPG.

I don't think there is voice chat in the game, which seems weird but I can't figure out how to chat with players at all.

Well you can't chat with Xfire people in a direct manner. You should tell all your Xfire buddies that if they see you playing Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom then they need to IM you first. If they do that in-game you'll see an Xfire icon in the top right. Their message will be in the Friends interface from the menu called while pressing Start. You should be careful to reply to their message and not clear the screen of messages. We need to be able to retrieve our Xfire buddy list on the Friends interface!

If, on the other hand, you want to talk to someone else playing Dark Kingdom (say, while in an online game), or you have added a friend to your PS3 network account and they're online you should be able to select the name and send a message normally. You don't need to select a name from the Friends interface to send a message suring an online game though.

If we're both playing, wouldn't it be easier to use the PS3's in-game chat? Using xfire is for tracking hours played and communicating with those who don't have a PS3 I think.SMILEY

Dark Kingdom: Untold Legends comes with the ability to login to an xFire account and chat with people from your buddy list. They have to send you a message first, though, since you can't actually fetch the buddy list for some reason.

As far as I know you can't install xFire on PS3 itself unless perhaps you have Linux installed. This game just happens to already support bare minimum xFire features.

The is no voice chat in this game since you are not useing PSN play station Network at all i see it uses Xfire as a network mediam and you need to go to Xfire.com setup an account with them then use it for online play for  this game.
