need help on library tower (first floor) iam stuck

You have to throw the crystal shards at the wolf status on the other side of the room. You have to hit them in succession to open the blue walls. Also, the last one can be tricky. You have to trap yourself in the 2nd blue wall by throwing it from way across the other side. Basically you have to hit the first one, that will open the second wall go in, throw it back at the first one, and you will be able to hit the third statue and deactivate the last wall. that probably would work but I have been through the whole level many many times and I am not seeing any crystals to throw. I have 3 statues activated but can not get the 4th. so now what do I do?
