It makes more sense to join everyone here and just complain that there's no content at level 55, since I have completely finished PotA and SoD. So I will just do that.

Yeah. It makes more sense to join everyone here and just complain that there's no content at level 55, since I have completely finished PotA and SoD. So I will just do that.
Nobody argues that there is nothing to kill at 55. The question is, will the average player like playing this content. Many people like dungeons runs, at least I do. I have done TK probably a dozen times, often with XP off, knowing that the reward is useless. I did it because I enjoy dungeon runs. I have done my share of SOD, not the high level named but at least T1 and some T2 stuff and for me, this zone just doesn't compare with a well done dungeon, especially if the reward requires repeating the same kills hundreds of times. Some like grinding but many prefer a more interesting environment.
I think the only significant pre-PotA mobs that I haven't seen yet are Yerkj and Nimaa, and I still think that most of the T4 and T3 KDQ named are the more interesting/entertaining/challenging fights in the game.
But that would have been the same case even if they didn't increase the level cap right?

You asked for a post, I provided the first one I found. I read the forums every day, and there are multiple posts recent and old on the subject. Your not reading them doesn't make them not there or not discussed by oher players.
I'm still not following on the exaggeration thing. We 'do' have lvl 53's in the game. There really is only 1 chunk with new content for lvl 51+. I really do believe we will have lvl 55 adventurers in 10 more days. Multiple players have posted on the forums their 'who all' counts or server populations, and I have run my own research as well, and many times 40% of the online players are lvl 50. If those lvl 50s are going to do new content, they can only go to 1 place.
So no exaggerations that I am aware of. I dont want all my post 50 content in 1 month. I'm not a min/max player, and only a very casual raider. The grind is so poorly implemented, at this point I dont really want ANY post 50 content or rewards. I'll just accept that we aren't communicating.
The level cap increase is in place for one sole reason -- to trivialize and put an end to APW (I love APW, but we should move on) and buy lots of time.
To get all the people together to work for one common goal and adjust to the new world mobs in preparation of what lies ahead.
What lies ahead -- I have no clue.
Initially I hated the level cap increase. But after seeing how players are actually getting together to make groups, I think perhaps this is what is needed to jumpstart things. Yeah the curve is steep and there's no content etc. But I don't mind it as much as I did before.

I'm curious why there was even a level increase added (at this time)?
Because a level increase with a steep XP curve is the simplest, "ghetto" way to "extend" the lifespan of a game.
I've never played another MMO that did anything so blatantly desperate.

THere was alot they *could* have done to extend the life of the game. It doesn't coincide with Silius' *vision* (or his utter lack of respect for the game). This level increase was poorly implemented, and their constant attempts to funnel people into content *they* want us to do is pathetic as well as aggrevating.
Still offering $50 bucks to the DEV's if they revert this braindead patch

Should have just added AAs and then raised levels later when they had more than a remodeled (not even sure if I can call it that) zone to xp in.
i agree... make PotA lvl 50 content, add AA's that way people will still raid APW but have something to exp with

It will a year, if ever, before AA's are implemented.
And it they are, can you imagine the insane XP that will be required?

I don't want anything added for me that requires raids. My whole dissatisfaction with the direction of Vanguard since I first joined is that there's been less and less to do solo/duo/trio the higher I go in levels.
All this new stuff for ages now has been raid-only content. Now they've increased the level cap but require raids to do it?
I just want stuff I can do with my 50th level warrior when I come home from work to wind down without having to spend hours of intense slavery to my computer in large groups. I just want to play, not raid.
These changes are terrible.
people seem to have problems to understand this: this patch introduced, as far as we know, NO raid content whatsoever. It's not a patch for raiders. Understand that before posting. If it was a patch for raiders, i'd be cheering.
The last update was intended to prepare raiders for the raid content being added down the road. Not many players will want to do this new content unless they are already raiding or interested in raiding in the future. So , I also agree that most of what was added in the last update was 90% for raiders.
Now the new patch added to test today has high hopes on correcting what the last update should have had when it went live. After next Tuesdays patch , we should know for sure if it's a raiders only game or not ....

QFT.
I am not going to bother to even try to level until its at least reasonable. IF its not, then thats it for me. There is no way i am going to grind 15 hours a day for weeks to get to the level cap. Its not going to happen.
I think the new level increase and xp gaining ratio might be a dumber decision than Brads releasedate.
Before Pantheon everyone was having fun raiding, grouping, interacting and the game was growing. You just killed that I can name 5 friends ( 3 guildies ) that already jumped ship after seeing how they have to level now, the fact you have to work your behind of for the 51-55 spells is also nothing less than retardedd. First grind like a slave to level, then slave on some more to get the spells to go with those levels. I assume when Nexus comes your gonna xp wipe us again?
Thats also a first, never in EQ or EQ2 did they piss on their clients like that. I fakkin earned the xp already right? So why do you rob me and then nerf zones so I cant even get it back in an efficient manner.
