Someone still gets left outside when Porting in.  This was none other than Ysora (Soresha) everytime this evening.

You cannot rez anyone as they are instantly teleported out of the Orb, which means not only an xp hit but loss of DPS for adds.  This happens EVERY attempt.  Even when redoing raid.  Is this intended????

Abom has hit us from 40-75m range.  Um?

I thought this was fixed /cry

All sounds normal to me except the being left behind part. How many people were going in?

But you used to be able to get rezzed inside the orb before, was that not intended?

Are you being ported in and then out or never porting in?

Nope that was a part of the bigger bug that broke the encounter.

Hmm i'm not sure how you thought the encounter is suppose to go Silius. But for an encounter where about 4 adds (or was it 8?) pops every min and a boss that can basically 1 shot even a tank, not allowing a single rez for the entire encounter seems rather crazy.

Are we supposed to (or even able to) port back in after getting kicked out after dieing?

Sorry that wasn't very clear, was it?

We had 3 full groups and a few people idling in group 4. Someone hailed the NPC and started the encounter. Groups 1 to 3 get ported inside, including me. I get to see the inside of the dome for about 1 second then get ported back to the outside with a red onscreen message - something about being removed beyond the barrier.

The first time, this happened to myself and one (or maybe two?) other people in the 3 groups. The second time we tried the groups had shifted a bit,  I was in a different group. Same thing happened to me, though that time everyone except me got inside.

No idea why it was picking on me especially, I have the quest for it, I wasn't just along for the ride!

No rezzing?  So effectively another Raid mob pushed up to 55 difficulty.

Would love to see a Dev team complete that encounter without a rez, lag alone in there makes the need for rezzing sigh.

It's more a technical issue that prevents that from happening. Why not remove Abom after 20 mins rather than players if it's a technical problem that prevents players from exiting. Maybe even have 1 shimmer mob spawn as soon as magic abom dies, you kill him and that's it.

I'm sorry but this is a hard encounter and losing people is not uncommon. It happens rather regularly and we need to rez them to complete the encounter.

From what I remember of the old encounter, you would experience this if you had any members in G4.  This encounter really doesn't like anyone in G4.  I can't imagine this has changed.

Sounds like the encounter still needs a full revamp.  Here's my suggestion.

I'm going to assume that you balanced this around a swamp/griffon geared raid force.  In which case, you should lower all NPCs hitpoint pools and damage by 20%.  At the minimum.  I remember when I was in my previous guild, we wouldn't go in without most people having their 5 piece APW buff.  I also don't recall any non-raid geared guilds killing MBA.  By the time you cleared out all the standing NPCs, you wouldn't have enough time to kill MBA.

The MBA himself needs to be nerfed.  I will give credit to the developer(s) who came up with the encounter for making an interesting concept, but in application it is flawed.  The adds that spawn every 30 seconds (I think 30 seconds) either need a significant HP/damage reduction (25% or more) or need to spawn no more often than a minute.  The last time my guild attempted this, we tried it where MBA was distracted and we tried to burn down adds.  We would get 2.5 down before the next wave would spawn.  And that was fully raid geared.  This is why I can only assume most guilds use the distract and train around tactic.  Adds just spawn too frequently and have too much HP.  Plus, there's no real reason to try to tank/heal a group on MBA.  There's no reward for letting him hit you.  You can't damage him outside of Griffon Strike.  Which again, cool concept, but poor application.

So, I suggest to change it to the following:  Make MBA hit for less.  Allow MBA to take damage outside of Griffon Strike.  But, his hit point pool should be significant enough where you can't simply DPS him down.  Weakened would still appear and Griffon Strike would still be necessary to bring him down quickly enough to complete the encounter in time.  Raid DPS might make up 1 griffon strike attack. MBA would also only spawn 2 adds.  So 2 of the 3 raid groups would each grab one and kill them.  Instead of spawning on whatever timer they spawn at, I think it would be better if the adds only spawn when weakness goes up.  It'd be logical, he summons help when he's weak.  Nerf the NPCs HP/damage by 20%.  Maybe put an encounter specific respawn point inside the dome?  (I'm thinking like Shadow's island).  And allow some way of people to recover their tombstones (as well as in Chath's area and BoD under the sharks).

Encounter was not balanced around swamp geared players was meant for people doing APW or more. The 6 man version of the mount was meant for those not raiding.

The initial encounter did not allow rezzing and was completed by various guilds in this state. It broke however long ago and we all know the history up to this point. It is meant to be a hard encounter the difficulty was not changed to 55 or some other nonsense.
