Hi there.

After playing the heck out of the trial last night, I've decided to open up a subscription and go a little deeper into Vanguard.

I logged into my station account and activated a monthly subscription.  But I Don't see anywhere to actually purchase the game online (Other than Steam).  Whenever I go to the Station store, the only options for purchase under Vanguard is that little 2.99 Players package.

Also, I was kind of confused that the subscription kept telling me my debit card information was incorrect, when I had used it before, and after trying it with vanguard for different online transactions, and it worked just fine.  Does it have some kind of problem with debit cards?

Anyway, what do I need to purchase, and where?  Steam has the game for 19.99, is this what I need to get?

Thanks!

Try the Sony Store, link is on top of forum page...

About probs with debit cards though I have no idea, sorry!

Edit: Hmm, just re-read your post and checked the store myself

And as I do have an active account, I am only offered the 2,99 stuff like you.

So, maybe it's because your trial is free for 14 days!?

On that site there seems to be a link to convert the trial to a subscription...

second edit   see here

And, btw, welcome at Vanguard

That purchase on steam works like a charm.  And it's good and cheap!

I'm confused... Why purchase a digitial copy of the game on steam at all?  You can download the trial and play for 14 days, and then decide to subscribe and the game will patch up to full.  I guess I just didn't see the reason to spend an additional 20.00 for something you can already download for free, unless I'm missing something here?

Well, purchasing Vanguard through Steam will still grant you the free 30 day period provided you're creating a new account as well, which is generally the same deal you'd get from purchasing a normal retail box.

That, and Steam will always keep the game in your 'Games list' in case you need to download it again at any time. Personally, I really like Steam for that fact as well as their quick download speeds.

$20 seems reasonable for those advantages.  In my opinion, anyway!

Ah thanks - I thought I was losing my mind

I really enjoyed the Island trial and I can't wait to see the rest of the world.
