It would have to be a fairly good buff for it to be on me and always have it on. And for the effect, what about say a green or gold or whatever color lightning bolt (Like what the unlimits would have over their head when they spawned/when they did Shock on someone) occasionally striking their character to give way their position every now and then.

I think if it just showed you on the map as a blue arrow while you're holding it (Like when you do detect luggable and see on your map a blue arrow briefly where the luggable would be.), it would be sufficient instead of spamming everyone with stuff about who has a luggable. That would scare and confuse the lowbies/the 50's who never read patch notes.

But to have that blue arrow on your map constantly, you should have to have locate data node running or something.

I don't think the single broadcast is really that bad, but I can understand there are alternatives. I like the idea of a blue arrow or indicator if you have detect luggables loaded, as it gives anyone who bothered to load it a bit of an advantage. And yeah the lightning bolt could be a good effect for a moving target. What other effects are there that could be used? It would need to be something with a bit of height to it so that it can at least be slightly seen between buildings. Was it dire lupines that showed up on like a column of smoke or something like that?

Their smoke effect isn't big enough. Occasionally a ring or something like one that happens before a spawn wave of a Pandora's box could come up from the ground around the player with the same size as a Pandora's box ring effect (Without the annoying sound or the ground shaking).

But I think the BEST effect so you could constantly see them from far away is the Access node Lightning bolt (Which the Unlimit bolt was taken from). It's constant, I don't recall an annoying sound to go along with it. You'd be able to see it from a good distance as well, as well as it isn't a very obnoxious animation.

BUT WHAT IS THIS? A CIVIL DISCUSSION WITHOUT FLAMES IN DEV ROUNDTABLE?

LOL U R SUK

I R SUK?!?!?!

OMG  WHERE ARE THE *CENSORED* MODS!!!!!!

But yeah the access node one is prolly the best. Well I'm glad figured out what our never gonna happen lug should look like.

Well, you never know. Luggables themselves were talked about long ago and people thought they were never going to be implemented. People thought we'd never get new constructs, and we have.

In that case, what kind of buffs were you thinking of?

I figured just very well enhanced damage resistances in every category, maybe with a buff towards your chance to cause a state? And while we're at it you wanna change the name. With the nature of the lug and the effect for it, maybe it should just be the unlimit lug. That however might turn some people off altogether. PEW PEW!

Well there's already a resistance buff luggable, Damage Buff Luggable, and All-things-offensive-hacker Buff luggable, but no general accuracy buff luggable.

If there was just one of them in all the server, maybe something like

All damages + 10 pts

All Accuracies + 15-20 pts

All Resistances + 20 pts

The problem is it has to be an item that everyone would have an inclination to go get, isn't a copy of a current luggable, but not something so powerful that whoever has it is greatly overpowered.

If the person is highly visible, I'd really want more buffs than that on the luggable. Lean them more into becoming a one-person squad type of thing.

Or, maybe make it into another luggable that helps with Data mining, and release a new set of spawns to get people interested in it. Maybe make the range at which someone can tap a node longer, (Uncap the 50 pt cap of the Tap Data Node Skill) and give it a buff to that as well. Maybe make it grant the holder a greater chance to get Data Mining spawns to spawn on them, OR, with it they tap and get access to getting the next tier in spawns.

Maybe it could spawn things like Accelerated Machines/Overrides, perhaps a spawn with an old semi-recompiled Assassin/Corrupted with the Assassin's mask and corrupted to go along with it. Unlimits that somehow survived their fate along with a level 100 Anome Simulacrum. Pandora's box 3 and 4 spawns. Smithling NPCs with a Smith Virus Manifestation NPC at the end. A corrupter that when you kill it actually gives you a Data Fragment instead of just a corrupted code from itself.

BUT, the luggable itself debuffs it's carrier. Maybe something like:

All Resists -50 pts
All Accuracies -30 pts
All damages -20 pts
All defenses -30 pts
Movement speed  -100%

That way, the carrier is almost guaranteed unable to jump, and is vunerable to attacks from the spawn/hostile players. This would further promote the need to have a team with you while carrying this and make it to where it's much harder to get a spawn on a ledge or somewhere, and then AOE hack it to death without being able to get interlocked.

And, have it if the carrier drops the luggable, whatever spawn that has spawned on them instantly despawns so that they can't get a spawn, drop the luggable, and have a friend pick it up and run off with it.

Now, each of those spawns would drop a fragment. Maybe half of them, the easier ones could be luggables that don't give any buff (Or give something like 5-10% accuracy or 5 pts to all accuracies) that you break down to learn the recipe for an item that will take frags from kiling each of those other spawns to make.

And when all is said and done, you get to code a badass pair of pants. This would be because there are never any new pants (with the exception of the Zion Rave Pants, and maybe one other pair of pants I can't think of).

These pants would give one of two things. One: Give the wearer a greater Tap Data Node Skill points, Greater tapping/locating range, reduce the time it takes to tap (maybe), and double the amount of $info you get when tapping a data node, and maybe a Max Health or Health Regen buff.

Or Two: 36 resist to every resistance.

Personally I like the idea of the All damages + 10 pts, All Accuracies + 15-20 pts All Resistances + 20 pts buff for the lugg. Make it so they are a "one-person squad" as you put it. Perhaps even a buff to combat evasion just to keep it well rounded for those who mostly avoid interlock in the PVPing. I think the real point of this kind of lug would be to make you a one man wrecking crew. And the best part is that you could still have teams working together to take down someone with the lugg and then turning on eachother to get it when it drops. Which makes me wonder. If you attack the person who is carring the lugg and is flagged for FFAPVP, would it be better to make anyone who attacks him also flag FFAPVP or just normal PVP? Is it even possible.

As for your other idea, I think its actually pretty cool, almost the anti oneperson squad lug. But I have a bit of another direction to go with this. What if that lugg did an area buff, but debuffed the carrier. So in that sense one person takes a hit in order to better their team. It would be like a field commander lugg, or something like that but with a less lame name. And it could still buff them for datamining. That would be one intense lugg.
