The Merv crits in particular were disappointing in a way.... ***POTENTIAL SPOILERS COMING UP...***
...In that a new character was introduced for the sole purposes of the 5 critical missions, and was then destroyed at the end of them. Sure, this helped show that the Commando's were helping the Merv, or at least appearing to help the Merv - but I personally would have prefered if this had been done by staying on track with the actual ongoing storyline, instead of creating a whole new, inconsequential storyline simply for these 5 missions.
This also appears to plant seeds of Flood's possible future dissention from the Merovingian - but again, it would have made so much more sense to implement this into the relevant plotlines - particularly when there is so much to delve into, with the Masked, the Assassin, the Red-Eyes, Neurophyte etc etc.
These crits didn't do much to tell the story or to drive it forward, which is what I see the purpose of critical missions as being.
People might say i'm complaining about nothing - but when the main draw of this game is its story, it is disappointing that the latest crits took on more of a contact mission appearance - in that nothing was of any relevance or importance, and we haven't gained any real knowledge through completing them.
The ambush at the beginning of the mission "Free Music" should now be made up of appropriate level enemies.
I agree with Chuii - the LE spawns need tweaking, as now, once again - the focus of people during this event is veering towards clammoring around Mara C hoping to get a bite of the corrupted cherry.
As thankful as I am that we are finally seeing the relaunch of Live Events, I pray to god that this one does not follow the pattern of previous events, in that too much of the action revoles around Mara Central - that place does not need another reason for people to hang around there.
