I thought it would be good fun to have a thread where people could suggest ideas for new Chapter Items. Please don't suggest anything too overpowered, most items have some kind of weakness to balance out the benefits.

My suggestions:

Patient Gloves

Max Health +15%          Max Inner Strength: +20%

The female version could look like red Arasiki Driving Gloves and the male version could be a brown fingerless type so that each would match the appropriate Widow's Moor Cap.  The strength of these gloves is the sizeable improvement to health and IS and the detriment is having no defense or resistance (NB: they preclude the use of Quicksilvers).  Originally I thought to set these at level 50 but then I realised they'd suit any level as their strength scales accordingly.

Balaclava

Thrown Resistance 20pts            Ballistic Damage Resistance 20pts

Disguise Duration 10pts              Invisibility Duration 10pts              Stealth 10pts

Level 30.  This should look essentially like the full-head masks we have now only perhaps with a camoflage pattern or something.  The advantage of this item is that it makes it easier for Spies to access dangerous areas and the disadvantage is the lack of protection once caught.

To be blunt, all those buffs are pretty worthless.

The Max Health % would be useful for patchers giving Max Health buffs. Title upgrades grant a small amount of health to the point that 15% would be about 50 points at most, which is highly insignificant.

Max Inner Strength: Please tell me what this would affect, other than Code Optimizer Boosters, or an inconsequential possible IS boost from a title upgrade. Those aren't frequently come by or trivially used.

The resistances on the baclava are low, and the stealth benefits are not very useful. You can sneak through pretty much any cluster of enemies already. Sakura Ninja Boots and other items give substantially greater boosts to Stealth, and they're low level.

 

If you're going to focus on utility functions like Stealth, focus on ones where there are a need, i.e. Tap Data Node Skill clothing, Decompile Item Time Reduction, etc.

The gloves could be easily fixed then by giving them a required level and points rather than percents. 

I'm not surprised I got the balaclava wrong as I don't use MKT much, feel free to post a better version :)

The following is less a list of desired items and more a list of expected items:

 

Lupine boots - black - buffs don't matter.

Lupine shirt - black - buffs don't matter.

White blood noble trench. - buffs the same as the other two.

White rave pants. - buffs the same.

White beret - freaking hilarious - buffs would probably be for coding cause all this white crap is lame.

White header/facemask/skull cap - since theres functions and executeables.

Eventual black remake of the patchers danas leading up to headgear - though unlikely since we have black danas.

White gas mask with different color eye pieces - cause the invert command would change the red too.

White fm-1500.

You get the idea i think....

In terms of general ideas for stuff - we can look to the NPC's in game that have stuff that we don't - the first two that come to mind are the npc's downtown the shades, they've got a weird bubblerap textured shirt that looks kind of cool - and the sparks in westview - some of them anyways - have these really over the top somehwat appealing red sneakers i've not seen in game.

The merv elite jackets - why not right.

Hel club -male harnesses and female 'outfits'.

The hel club masks.

System stalkings right - or is that crap out now?

seraphs jacket - not like he's around to wear it anymore.

swat gear - full body or in pieces. (or the military green stuff with red beret)

red beret.

You get the idea - look to what we have but don't have and you'll see it comming.

Finally in terms of desired items:

I'd like to see some different variations in items in terms of symmetricality - i think it's hard with the wrapping of the models to do so - and it would certainly take time to produce but it just reminds me that if we don't have the means to make our own stuff we sort of just have to wait it out and then we can all jump on the cool thing and then feel like it's the theme of a party.

Some new bloody weapons - seriously either in terms of looks or at least in buffs actually both- also i'd be nice if there was a way to keep your weapon out i know it's been discussed but like - let us strap it on our backs like a katana or dare i say it make it an fx item.

Eh i could continue but then i'd run the risk of not taking the usual shot at rarebit - hey wait no! - no!

Not a chapter item, but a suggestion for the anniversary event (If we have Smith back.. again).

Smith Voids - Standard scaled buffs or something perhaps with protection against being Smithied. Perhaps have a subtle flame effect in the lenses, layered in kinda same way as the snowglobes.

And for female RSI's something similar using shard model (same model as the awakened shades)

I think I've been thinking about this too much..

Inner Strength Regen Rate 5%              Max Buffer (11pts)

Min character level at 6

This item could use a red beret model per Darminian's suggestion.  The purpose of such an item would be to make it easier for a patcher to assist a low level character in farming hideout drops.
