Because it is a counteract to your above statement replace the word 'Mac' with 'Windows?'
You don't have to read it, of course. :p
But if you wanted to badly enough, you could play MXO on a linux machine. The bottom-line is Mac is becoming more versatile, but there's still certain things that are (and should be) restricted or constrained for reasons such as security or development.
