Hi di ho,

I loaded my spy tree today and noticed something a little weird. I dont know if its a default tweak or somethingsta still needs fixing.....

The Issue:

When in combat (PvE and FreeFire) i noticed my ability styles changing frequestly back to Self-Defense Style but not turning back to my Spy Style. It happens when you enable an ability that is not in the spy tree like headbut or ranged attack. If you use a spy ability after that, it does not automaticly turn on your Spy Style...like it does with the Self-Defense Style.

Now my question is: Is the system supposed to do this? Cuz its irritating to enable the Spy Style (which is far more buffed then the Self-Defense Style) manually after everytime it is switches back to Self-Defense Style.....

If this issue already came up on the boards forgive me, i could not find anything about it in the search SMILEY

greetz,
hagel

I think we need some more info from you. I was just checking this and it worked fine for me, but there may be some specific spy abilities that are set wrong and don't put you back into spy style.

And yes, it should automatically switch you into the appropriate style.

Okay here's the deal, I thought my problem had to do with the stuff that i wrote in my Start Post, but.. i was so excited about my findings that i did not actually check out what the actual problem was that i encountered.

But after killing 15 Slasher Machette's in Camon Heights i found out some fun facts SMILEY

Name: Hagel
Lvl: 14
Loadout: Spy /partially Cutthroat (till the lvl 14 abiltity "stealth Countermeasures" )

1st: Free Fire Combat
-When you enable a free-fire attack with a ranged weapon, the style will switch to Self-Defense Style. If you engage in, or are drawn into interlock (PvE) while using this type(ranged) of free-fire, the style will automaticly switch to the style your currently using, for me thats the Spy Style... (so this works good i guess SMILEY)

-When you enable a free-fire attack with a melee tactic, it will always be in the Self-Defence Style for some unknown reason to me SMILEY, so you cant select your own combat style. If you engage in, or are drawn into interlock (PvE) while using this type (melee) of free-fire, the style will automaticly switch to the style your currently using. So thats also good.

2nd: Interlock Combat
-When engaging or are drawn into interlock with a melee combat style of your loadout selected (mine is the Spy Style) you will keep using this style when selecting the combat tactics (speed, power, grab, block) and also when using abilties that are present in that part of the abilty tree.
Example: I enable my sneak ability and enable a sneak attack, for instance a Drop Kick (lvl12 cutthroat, offensive abilty), automaticly engage in interlock combat and finish the job with my combat tactics. It works fine.

The above also counts for interlock ballistic fights (interlock with guns)

BUT! when you are in interlock and enable an ability that is not in your loadout tree (spy/cutthroat) like Head Butt or Cheap Shot, which are in the Awakend part of the tree, you will switch to the Self-Defense Style automaticly and this will stay on until you use an abilty of your loadout!
For most of the trees this is not a problem i guess, but when dealing with the spy tree at low-lvl (like me) there are no spy abilities that you can enable in interlock itself. This means that you always have to switch back to Spy Style manually after you used a "Self-Defence Ability" in interlock.

So what i found out is that the spy tree in the lower lvles lacks of interlock abilites, on the other hand you can come to the conclusion that spies are not build for interlock and that that conclusion was already drawn by the community, hence i;m makin a fool of myself here SMILEY

I guess i just wanted to clearify some stuff about the tree that i personally found out. Hope it helps explain something about the spies tactics and style.

greetz,
Hagel
