I still feel the last update did not have enough to be excited about and the / commands were nice but thats all they are...nice.  However i do understand they had the Halloween event to do so i guess all in all it turned out good.

It is nice to see the Winter holiday containing Luggables in it but the other side was still disappointing to hear that luggables wont even be out for a long time as its unlikely to make a complete appearance by update 49 so we will be looking at update 50 which is all the way in February.

So again i dont see anything in the other side which lifts your spirits about the game,
Also its just come to me that the last major content upgrade happened with CR2.0 which was also released in February.

And this is my opinion but things are moving way to slow for me, again ill say it, cut down on the number of crits.

Well, yea... you could argue that 1.2 had 17 missions for each organization and basically told less story than any of the more recent ones (not taking the event interaction into account -- back then, big story plots following after the missions, now "smaller" ones all interwoven and inbetween).

So, maybe the story wouldn't really suffer from that, if done properly. The problem I see is in the six week schedule. With less missions and less events (you didn't say that, but I think the planning and execution of live events takes at least equal time and efforts for Rarebit as missions, so you'd have to include them, too), more boredom will arise between updates. Do we really want that?

And considering this game is story based, and Rarebit is pretty much an equal and creative storyteller, I doubt the story content will be sacrificed for other features. Of course, I partially also hope it won't happen SMILEY

Very nice epitaph for Bo Schembechler... he was a great coach and will be missed not only by michigan fans but also most of college football.. as far as the update to the matrix i am waiting to see what comes of Neo's Rsi now that its back in the matrix. BTW...... GO BUCKS SMILEY

Oh yes, lets leave people who can't attend live events with even less content to play with! Smashing idea!

I stick by my original view here, reducing the amount of crits per patch has always been, and always will be in my mind, a rediculous idea.

No offense to anyone mind, just i really do fail to see how that would make things any better.

People would just see it as a decline, a failing.

What MxO needs is a strong spirit, more subscribers, a few more devs and when its ready, an expansion pack.

That will take time and a lot of luck, higher up decision making and effort on the part of the community. But i really feel we can get there.

If the game keeps hammering on with these improvements and additions we'll get there.

If we get a QA server up and if the patch delivery and internal QA is improved (come on, when was the last mxo had a perfectly deployed patch, heh) we can get there.

If the community stays as creative and passionate and the dev team as close and intimate with interaction and feedback we'll get there.

To quote: "I do not believe it to be a matter of chance, it is simply a matter of time"

And i'll be here every step, bump and jump of the way.

Wow, large aquatic mammals can watch Looney Toons? "I say, boy, I say what the aich - eee - double hockey sticks is up with that?" SMILEY On a side note, I'm not sure many people remember the big rooster, Walrus. (Man, there were so many things wrong in that statement, I'm gonna just keep moving and not look back.)

I think I speak for everybody when I say "THANK YOU" for keeping us informed. I cannot imagine what it'd be like without this kind of 'news you can use' deal on a weekly basis. Hearing from you just once a month would be sad, and once per quarter would be unnacceptable.

And take the whining from some of the players as a compliment! You all have been doing your job so well for so long, that big patches and big OSOTLG's became expected! So, kudos! I think. . .

I have talked to many people who play many of the name brand online games, and most of them say this one has the best community because it is full of people who care. So, we must be doing something right.

Christmas Luggables?

Does this mean I can steal Chrismas? Be a neat little event. Have people trying to steal X-mas stuff and people trying to stop them.

Oh sorry that 3 or 4 part mission fills all of my time, kinda lucky judging that Pandoras box i can can complete within 5 minutes on my own.

A lot like the matrix things must balance for every negative there is a postitive, now i stated the negative of the crits being reduced but the positive is that the luggable will be pushed out faster.

I shall root for Buckeyes for you (since I don't follow college football).

Maybe you'll feel a little generous after they win and increase the $info drops for a time. Right?  SMILEY

If the first luggable hits at Christmas, then the rest will certaintly follow in update 49.

In other News...

A very clarifying Other Side, Walrus. Even if it didn't explain a great deal, other than promiscuity regarding luggables SMILEY It was good to hear your standpoint, regardless.

Rushing through the crits in 5 minutes naturally results in reduction of appreciation for said criticals. Of course, 5 minutes running from building to building and taking a look or two at some marginal texts more or less, who cares?

I'm going to jack-in and check everything out. Oh, and unlike the game of professional/college football, people don't gamble on the outcomes in the Matrix Online... Or do they? Hmm...

And I couldn't give a digitized monkey excrement about luggables. I don't PVP, never will, so PVP based content is a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

so because YOU don't pvp, anything improving it is a waste of time?
i  mean, its not like there's a whole server dedicated to it...

oh wait
