So I was thinking, and I know this is jumping the gun, but early next year around February or March we will have completed Chapter 12, and then have new org clothing rewards for Chapters 9-12.  I'm looking forward to this, but I was thinking, for those who have the first two org items and then get the third org item, there should be an extra org reward for those who have gotten all three.  How this would work is, say, a Machinist gets System Shades, System Suit, and the third System Item, he can then go to the Machinist Collector and he can trade the three items for the three items back plus the special org item (modeled after the Archeologist model).

I was also thinking, to maintain the exclusivity of the org item, in addition to requiring the three org clothes, you might have say a token to instance an org-based area (the org areas would be fine), so that you need a rep of 100 or more to go into the Chateau or wherever and collect a simple org token to complete the trade.

So to sum up, you trade your 3 org clothes + org token for the special org reward and your clothes back.  That way you cut down on org hoppers, you really have to prove your loyalty to get the item.

Also, I was thinking, for those intrepid souls who get all 9 org clothing items, you could trade all of those items for your items for your items back plus a perpetual token.

The perpetual token I proposed on this thread already for three-year SOE veterans; how that works is you trade any code item for a perpetual version of that code!

Anyways, I thought that would be pretty cool.

i think the 3rd org machine item should be the system 1500 and to stop zion or merv from using it u can only be a machine to get it. and if u switch to machine than get it than go back to zion or merv the item is auto removed from ur inventory. And might as well have 115 machine rep to get it as well . as for the other 2 orgs i could careless.

If the collector takes the 3 items from you and forces you to grind missions out to get them all again I think it'll be too Grindtastic. Let us keep the original items and get the new one and I think you're onto something.

As far as the idea of making the FM-1500 a collector trade goes, good luck dealing with the drama if that is ever implemented.

Not a bad idea at all.  As long as you do get your old items back so you're not forced to re-grind.  .. of course, I still think you should get completion tokens for completing each chapter as they are released instead of having to do them again when they are released as arcs.

The 1500 should stay as it is, though, and similar items should be created for the other 4 orgs and given out in the same ways the 1500 is.  Perhaps those of other orgs who had previously received perp awards from org specific events should have the option to trade them in for these new items.

Absolutely....just like the Archaologist model.  Like when you trade your Seraphim Shoes + Seraphic Wing and get your Seraphim Shoes back plus the Prison Device or (you get the idea).

It wouldn't work if you had to re-grind everything.  Once is enough.  Plus, RP wise, it shows that you have a pretty solid understanding of everything that's transpired in your organization, even if you came into the game later.  That plus the Loyalty Token (to prove you have the reputation), should be rewarded IMHO.

*gasp*  An actually reward for loyalty to your chosen org?  It's not possible..

hehe  I like this aspect of the idea as well.  Perhaps it could be tied in to the training sim.. they're there in the org areas anyway and could use with another use than just dropping the shadow pills (yes, for those following along at home, I still think this is a terrible idea).

Personally, I think the org clothing needs to be revamped. I don't understand why in the world the org clothing looks so awsome yet has such lame buffs. IMO the org clothing should reflect the org.

The machines are logical beings so I think logic should play a roll in all the items we currently have aswell as any new items.

So, for the System shades for instance.

System Shades

Upgrades

15% IS Regain

Ballistic Resistance (lvl scalling) *Though really, the org clothing should range alot better, once you hit 50 the buffs should be at the very top of the list.

Ballistic Defense Bonus 2%

Ballistic Accuracy Bonus 2%

Melee Defense Bonus 2%

Because lets face it, the glasses and ear piece as they are, aren't very useful for a lowbie other then the IS regain factor. This would really make people want to go get them.

The System Suit

Melee Damage Resistance (Lvl scall fixed)

Ballistic Damage Resistance (Lvl Scall fixed)

Ballistic Defense Bonus 2%

Ballistic Accuracy 2%

This would once again add to it's awsome factor and combined would really help a lower lvl player out, pvp wise, it might help alittle.

New ideas for a 3rd machine clothing item.

System Pants

System Shoes(with good buffs to health IS regain and movement speed...)

System Clearance(This item could maybe go in the tool slot or something, and basicly it's just an item that gives resistance to everything and makes you immune to lvl 255 agent attacks, so if you don't have the node, and you have this item, no worries long as it's equiped.)

For Mervs it could be changed up alittle too.

And due to mervs being self aware, in other words most of the exiles don't want to be deleted I think this could be used in the buffs.

The Demon Army coat

Health Regain Rate 15%

Thrown Damage Resistance (lvl scalled fixed)

Viral Damage Resistance (lvl Scalled fixed)

Evade interlock bonus 2%

Health regain is for so they can survive if attacked, the damage resistance helps with the Machine glasses so they go together somewhat. And Evade interlock, just for fun.

The other merv item is lame, pls remove it and change it for something good, like how about some kinda mask, a hat sorta item for the mervs, like the gas mask or something.

Something with good buffs and stuff.

And all the zion stuff.... Hmm, every new item and old should have a super jump bonus on it, evade interlock and defense for zion cause that be how dem dare peeps roll, sometimes.

But anyways, my two cents.

Perhaps an agent Suit setup like Roca Wear that can go in the tool slot so you can keep buffs from other clothing without looking like crap.

Those are more good ideas, Skull.  It's a bit of a pain to grind out the items as it is, and yet buffwise they don't compare that well to other grindable items.  Since there is no way to get them other than to grind for them, this doesn't make much sense.  Though I know the arcs are supposed to be about more than the item you get at the end of them, they are still a grind.

I like the OP's idea, I think we're running out of ideas for Org identifying clothing (I can't see Pace style seamed tights being available). I don't like the idea about the FM-1500 purely because the system cannot distinguish between Machinist and Cypherite.

As for Org clothing having decent buffs. I think they are fine as they are, not every item of clothing in game has to be about PvP.
