Alright, so I had this idea today after thinking about the new boxes that can be used in Sati's Playground. What I was thinking of was what I like to have a PVP related Lug. I have edited the original post as it was no longer relevant. Please see the discussion below.

I'd give an approval to any sort of thing like that really.

Just something small, yet fun, with a little pay out.

Other players have the ability to force flag me?  SMILEY

Eh, I don't like the idea of an item in-game that just any player could get to cause others to go into PVP. Don't like the idea as a whole either. Anything that creates spawns should be a consumable and have where it can be activated restricted. You could do a very..."dynamic entry" into say, a LE with such a luggable.

Also, NPC 3 levels higher is really not that hard. Maybe level 100 or higher.

I like the part where people get a message and come after you.

I'd like this. Watch me get one and flag Role Players at Tabor, Lowbies in Uriah and anyone dancing in Mara.

It could have properties like the pandora's box, 100 m from a hardline. If that's not enough, make it only activatable in one area like international. Also have a delay timer, when someone activates it, the effect takes place and every player within the pvp radius would have 10-20 seconds to get out before the spawns come out and the pvp starts.

Be nice if there were more ways to make use of all the info we sought after. But any new box/farming content is cool, and it's even cooler to have a device that forces FFA PVP flaggage.

Alright guys, I guess I need to go over some parts of my idea again. I wrote it really quickly because I had to go to work but I didn't want to forget about it.

Some of you suggested make it consumable if it makes a spawn, and it could be a really bad party crasher if it auto force flags you.

In response to the consumable comment, I had envisioned it as something like a consumable in the sense that you lose it once you've used it, however this one would just respawn somewhere in the district randomly. Since there would only be one at a time it wouldn't be that big of an issue. Also, you could make the area fairly small, however I'm not sure theres much else that could be done. How do you deal with the pandora's boxes?

As for the spawn, I only mentioned something like that because I'm really not sure what would fit, especially if anyone can come in and attack you. I really had envisioned a scenario where a group of people team up to take out the spawn but then turn on eachother to get all the final loot for themselves. And then who knows, maybe Mave jumps in a naked punts you and he gets all the loot.

I really just wanted to have something small that attracks people to you to fighting eachother. I don't pretend to understand exactly how to implement any of these crazy ideas, thats why I would look for feedback. I would say the biggest concern is using it at an event, but there are other things ingame with similar risks. I would like the idea to please everyone. I'll prolly edit the first post to make my idea clearer. Again any thoughts?

Rarebit! Can something like this be done?

Perhaps if with this luggable you use it and it drops like it's a Pandora's box, and doesn't respawn until the "box" is gone.

Still, I'm thinking of how I would use it to be a *CENSORED* if I had such a tool. Drop it on a group of people doing a Pandora's box, drop it at Uriah NE, drop it at a player wedding, etc. If it was say restricted to the same restrictions as a Pandora's box and isn't able to be used indoors or within 100 Meters of a Hardline, I think it would have less of an impact as a party-crasher tool. The FFA PVP would also get rid of a popular load out of Howitzer for farming that luggable's spawn. However things like MKT would probably end up running circles around the spawns and work in backstabbing the players.

But Datamine has taught me one of several things: No one ever seems to kill people out of greed. When everyone farmed Raeder from what I observed, very very rarely did anyone kill each other out of trying to grab the earpiece. The only times I saw problems arise was when someone ninja looted (Ednix is a prime example, he sat in concealment to let his entire team do all the dirty work. Then he'd play dumb and act like it was his turn to loot twice in a row, if my sources are correct.) the items. The only other PVP that arouse out of FFA PVP was just people wanting PVP, not the spawn. So with this NPC spawn you would have people probably try and hunt these people down and gank them, just for the sake of PVP.

Really the FFA PVP thing is a huge red flag. It would only counteract the purpose you want for it, the people getting the loot would be people that attack all the players actually killing the spawn at the last second. What I would do if I were said gankers would be pick up the luggable, take it to some area where it's commonly dropped and wait in some form of stealth state. Then wait until people arrive and start killing the spawn, then kill those people once the spawn gets to 1/4 health or less.

But that does remind me of the idea of having a luggable that makes the player that holds it FFA PVP flagged, but gives them better-than-the-average-luggable buffs.

Really if I could have it that way there would be no spawn, however that means that someone finds the box uses it and gets free loot. I want it to just be a tool to instigate major PVP. Do you think that just the idea of stopping someone from getting loot would enough to start a fight. The npc is only there to make them work for it even when a player doesn't want to come in and fight.

Did that make any sense?

Player controlled item that causes PVP is a big no-no.

Just looking to give some urgency or incentive to PVP. Maybe it could just flag the activator. Anyone who wants to take him down would need to flag too. Maybe the system message that gets sent out could be updated to say who the new target is based on who made the kill. Better?

Again, I'd just make it a luggable that buffed the player that held it by a good amount (Maybe points to accuracy and toughness or something like that) and made them FFA flagged.

System message of who has the luggable, sure.

I would still want something that tells everyone else where they are, like the system message. The point of this idea was to give incentive to PVP. Anyways, any message drawing you towards a certain area would be useless unless

- their location is constantly updated in the system chat which would get annoying or,
-They have to stay stationary or have limited movement or,
-There is a massive visual cue to where there are with only the one system message.

Also, would increased buffs be incentive enough to get the lug?
