So does this mean then that your working on a way to get players who are currently unsubscribed and who missed that "deadline" back in game? Because thats the issue at hand. People who've been gone for awhile need to be allowed to come back and enjoy the last few months of the game with their friends and faction mates

Unfortunately, I do not know how customer service is handling contacts regarding re-activating accounts that were not subscribed when the announcement was made. Our focus with the closure of the game was on our current MxO customers and making sure that we were able to stop billing subscription fees, process any necessary outstanding subscription refunds, and extend trial offers to other games while ensuring they could access MxO until the servers went dark. We certainly appreciate that there are some former MxO players that want to come back to see the end of the game, but as mentioned, our priority had to be placed on our current subscribers.

Excuse me?!?! SOE accepted my re-subscription on 5/31 and gave me access to MxO until this morning. That charge is still reflected in my payment history, and as far as I'm concerned, I *am* a current subscriber!! Except, of course, that SOE while happily taking my money is now refusing me access to a service I've paid for.
If this isn't on your priority list Raijinn, it really needs to get near the top of it *now*!

I'm not sure if you've seen the previous posts that I've made on that topic but that's definitely a concern for us and we hope to have an answer for everyone in the same boat as you.
TSR Eryk N.: What happened was, you were not supposed to of been able to subscribe but somehow it let you do so. You will be getting a refund for that and should have access to the game by tomorrow as well.
Sweet.
Sorry that I haven't been able to find it in these threads, but those of you (Archaeus, MetaLogic) who were told by TSR-Eryk N that your service would be restored, what method did you use to contact CS?

well his become more helpful, all he told me was that I was getting a refund and thats that
I just used the chat
The fairest thing to allow at this point would be at the very least to allow those who was subbed to MxO any time before June 1st to be allowed in, because that was the date provided to us. And I think it is probably safe to assume that you guys (Walrus, Raijin, & Virrago) all were going on this assumption as well.
I certainly hope this become firmly established and corrected soon so we can not stress out about this anymore and get some last good times in before closure.

Hopefully our beloved TSR Eryk attempt to shut you guys out will be overruled by Raijin, Walrus, etc.

Mine might not, I am june the first person but Raijin and Virrago seem to heading in more positive direction with this to

Exactly. And if the big issue is, "Oh, those people who came in during that 4 day window are now going to get free partial Station Access for 2 months for their $14.99," please keep it. I might have actually re-activated my EQ2 account during those 2 months to see how things had changed, but at this point I'd really just like to have access to MxO until the end.

The problem is though is that customer service isn't handling it. The stance CS is taking is that "if you weren't subbed then pis s off, there's nothing we can do for you". Strings need to be pulled higher up to get CS to snap into shape.
While I appreciate your concern for your current players and making sure that they have their billing ended and are no longer charged, we're truly not being shown any concern for our concerns... Your former customers who were loyal to this game are being strung out to dry, and those customers happen to be are our friends and faction mates. We got 4 days notice on this... I'M sorry but that's simply not enough time for people to get resubbed. Your active customers want their friends to be able to come back and play again for the last 2 months. And if your a gamer at all I'm sure you can understand the fact the players want to be able to enjoy the remaining time here with our friends and faction mates.
What we're asking you to do is to go to the higher ups in SOE and say "please reactivate all the old MXO accounts that are in good standing (IE not banned) for the last 2 months of service". That's what we're asking for. Its completely stupid and illogical to require people to resub at this point since no one is being charged for the next 2 months of game play and all current subscribers are being allowed to play for free. I mean even the people who resubbed for the few days that the window was open, they're gonna get billed for 1-4 days of service and then be refunded for the rest.
Your job as customer relations is to be the middleman between the community and the company and vice versa. That means your to represent the community and whats in the best interests of the community, and whats in the best interests of the company. And right now neither is being done. The company is pulling the plug on this game... That in its self is already going to anger a large portion of this customer base. Then on top of that your denying people the ability to get their friends back in game, this in turn means your current active subscribers are not pleased. I mean as if it wasn't bad enough that the game all of us love is being ended, we cant even get the most out of the time remaining because we cant get the players back who made the game so good in the first place.
This in turn means disgruntled customers who aren't likely to pursue another SOE title. Current subscribers are being given 60 days to try other SOE titles which is an attempt to retain as many customers as possible... That's good business. But if in the last few months if we're not shown any support and players who are our friends and faction mates are being alienated and excluded, how is that incentive for players to try another SOE title? That's bad business. And thus far that's what a large chunk of customers are seeing. I mean its one thing if you guys simply don't care... But then you could at least tell us that up front so we can end the charade.
So if you want to do whats in the best interests of the community and in the best interests of the company, then please put up a fight to get all the old accounts reactivated for the last 2 months. It will make the community happy which will also send a message that SOE does in fact care. That in turn will help convince people to use their 60 day trial to the other SOE titles which will help to retain people as customers.
