Trial account failure

My friend went to download the game and went to get started to play but every time he clicks the MxO icon he gets a

"Failed to create a copy of the launcher or a critical support library for patching. If you have a file called matrix.exe in your game directory, pleace make sure it is writable." error.

Errr, is this because it's running vista or some other reason?

Rightclick on the matrix.exe, properties, uncheck "read only", apply, press OK, try again and post here if it helped.

Another possible fix is to right click on the desktop icon for MXO and select run as administrator.
