Alright, so I was doing this merv archive mission and I led these Lupines, yada yada yada. They followed me, Yada, yada, yada. Then one of them attacked an NPC and I was very shocked to see an animation that can only exist when they attack an NPC. I bring you "The Lupine Headbutt"! Err.... the screenshot isn't so good but its suppose to have the lupine jump on top like a hugging kinda thing, then a headbutt. So yeah was this in CR1? and what gives this animation only seems to appear only when a Lupine attacked an NPC???

I think that's one of their finishing moves. So you'd have to let them kill you a lot to have a chance to see it. ;) Or hang around Ookami.

Looks like the flying headbutt move they have. I think it used to be buged and used the old logic canon IL animation or the silver bullet one.

I believe the Guard Breaker move does all sorts of animations. The coolest thing is one of the self-defense grab finishers, where you like use telekinesis to own peeps.

Yea I've been noticing some rare animations from my own character as well as NPCs, very interesting.

Lupines have to be the most bugged npcs for animations ever. However, this does prove that they can work and that the animations exist in the game's structures. So that means they can infact be fixed. *cough* hint *cough*

I saw headbutt recently too, it was against a level 40 lupine, I just kept it on grab hand for the hell of it and it headbutted me. It looked so cool.

My all time favourite Lupine special move is... I HAVE NO IDEA *CENSORED* THAT WAS. It looked like Maki-Otoshi but it was different and way cooler. I only saw that one once. I wanna have the lupine style combat and abillities, I wanna see it again!

I actually think your wrong there, this isnt the "flying headbutt"move the lupines have but rather just a finnisher. It not actually a "headbutt" as such. but more a "im gonna rip out your throat with my teeth". >< They jump and their heads move side to side (like they're chewing) untill the opponent drops to the floor and they get off. I did the very same mission, you are asked to contain lupines in the merovingian rank. He gives you some lupines yourself to combat. I disguised and sat (casually) taking pictures. I happened to get quite a few of these pictures as you can imagine because the lupines where fighting each other. Stage One - Pounce on victim.
Stage two - Bite neck
Stage Three - Let victim drop dead.
As you can see its a finnishing move, the opponent doesnt get up after that....would you? >.<
