I'm sure it could be done, as there is an umbrella model, which if memory serves me correctly, would be the right size for players. The thing is, a) I think it would get kind of ridiculous seeing lots of people holding Umbrellas above their head, b) I'm sure animations would look kind of weird with it, especially that jerky running bit, and c) ... I'd rather see dev effort go into gameplay and content. Now, on the other hand, if there were some sort of quest that rewarded you with an equippable tool slot item that placed a umbrella originating from the hand vertex, that could be interesting.

I agree! It rains so why no umbrella? Would be handy for when people are just standing around in the rain at mara chilling!
The umbrella could dissapear when running and only appear whilst sitting or standing still.
This Idea is not going to affect the game as such in gameplay sense but I think it would be a simple yet cool addition to a new mood.

Even if they textured one in, the rain would just go through it cause he'd be too lazy or rather it would be too complicated to figure out how to stop that, and then we'd complain about that, so as it stands its just a comedic emote that people can generate witty mxo banter about:

Haha But yeah I still want an umbrella I can live with the rain coming through it after all I have seen worse in game than that! Just completes the mood? Other emotes have items! Cummon Devs make us a sexy umbrella for us to stand in the lovely megacity weather!
