Death of the Destroyer: Who got a piece of the Assassin?

I was there!!! I fought the assassin! The lag was HORRIBLE!(Even though I have double the minimum requirements to play the game) I got to midian park after the Assassin was spotted but I dealt a peircing blow or two(or fifty). I died a few times but in this city, death is only a temporary setback. Mind you I didn't know I could touch my toes that way, but it makes for good exercise after putting on my anti-assassin cologne.(And when I say "my", I mean the assassin, and when I say "cologne", I mean deadly, deadly incecticide XD )

Oh I forgot to mention he never killed me the entire time. I was right next to him and still never died. He did get me with his attack and I was almost gone at one point but I came back. Thanks to my Direwolf coat and Master Shadow ability.

I'm on vector and I fought the assassin at the sobra subway.

I got a ton of hits on him... unfortunately i was too rushed to take any screen shots.

When he was about half health and i'd died twice, I loaded up rez and started bringing ppl back cause all the nearby HLs were down. I died once more and by the time I found him again, he was dead. Then we were called for a meeting and it was over.

Didn't take any screens, but hit the assassin maybe 10-15 times with the flit gun in the midian park area on recursion. Got killed and a quick rez, soon as I got up hyperjumped up to find his location, saw the lightining coming down, and attempted to head for him. Unfortunately it was at this point I discovered I was stuck on the roof and my client promptly timed out about a minute later. Then I couldn't log back in as my "character was in use" according to the "object manager server"... Oh well, had a lot of fun thou, nice to see the story continue, reminds me of the old days, not knowing exactly what was going on but being positive something is. Ah live action, finally some purpose.

Although
I was hesitant to, I managed to weaken the Sobra Shores Assassin
subroutine on the various rooftops and streets that it moved to.
Unfortunately, through the chaos, I did not have the time nor the
thought to take screenshots of the exchange. Following the death
of the Sobra Shores Assassin, I moved to Midian Park and I did manage
to get two screenshots of the battle at Midian--one prior to the
subroutine's death and one after.

I fought the Assassin that day.... and many times before that day.

For those of you on Recursion: I led a pre-battle rally at Church of the Disciples, I was buffing as many as possible and encouraging everyone to load up rez because since we cannot close combat him anyways, let us be able to save one another from the fate of death, for it would be catastrophic to get back in amid that many people. It was an excellent strategy, many factions heard it, and I believe that helped us some.

Some faction members and myself were able to hunt down the assassin in his various locations. I dealt damage to the Mannsen and Midian Park copies. Unfortuantly there was too much lag, causing me to crash around four or five times, which became very frustrating. Though, it was fun to play exterminator for awhile :smileywink:

I was stationed at the Sobra Shores Subway, when I got the order that the Assassin was crossing the bridge between Apollyon and Sobra Shores, so flew as fast as humanly possible and met the Assassin head on who was being pursued by at least 20 redpills from all organizations, I managed to blast him three time with my Flit Gun before some higher level Corrupted's got the better of me. Fighting on the bridge was one of the best moments I've had in the game thus far.

Well lets see, I was able to get a huge chunk off of the Assassin from the Sobra Shores Subway on Vector. It was great fun to chase that killer code all the way to the bridge that was his demise. Then I got alot more chunks off of him while he made his last stand on the bridge. Along with all the other redpills that were there. I even did an analyze weakness on him to see if that would help to kill him faster. I'd like to think it helped some. But then in the few seconds before his demise he got the better of me and I died. Before I could be rez'd PaaWaa struck the last blow. I was glad that I was there to see that. Congrats PaaWaa. All in all it was one of the most satisfying events I've been in. And I've been here since Beta. Good job SOE.
