I support this idea too, not so much for PVP but because I would *love* to have outfits saved as a single item in my inventory! If I'm understanding this idea, the saved outfits would function like halloween masks or disguises, right? So if I have this item in my inventory and I bind ("save" an outfit to it, I could conceivably save all those clothing items to email because I wouldn't need them to activate the "Asna mask" item, and that frees up inventory space! If you could save multiple outfits and bind them to numerous "Asna masks" I'd have probably at least a dozen outfits saved this way, and PLENTY of inventory space to spare for farming, mishing, etc. GENIUS. WIN. TASTY GOODNESS.DO WANT! /as
Considering all the cool new clothing we've had lately, it's perfectly possible to look good in PvP.
This idea....I like it very much. And considering recent developments, seems quite feasible at this point.
It's not a bad idea, but ... there still has to be the possibility to see what the opponent truly wears. That's an enourmous factor in PvP, since it influences the mode of attack and who is target.
It would have been brilliant if all clothing was unbuffed but each item had a slot for buffs. Each buff was simply a seperate program that could be coded or collected or farmed and applied to the correct form of clothing (footware, outerware etc...) This would allow for unique clothing choices dependant on person and also allow the Dev's some form of control on what buffs can be worn at the same time. (Hindsight is great, isn't it)
A 'mask' to cover up pvp clothing with the appearance of the clothing you want would do the trick though (along with a loadout scanner of course). I think an issue might be that each set item (mask) would be unique to the character which means each item would have to be dynamic which seems to contradict the static nature of The Database (TM)
I like to see it happen, if possible.

This idea seems even moreso feasible now that we have the mob boss 'masks' and should be implemented as soon as possible...
who bumped the thread. hm, yes still a good idea.
Indeed, the addition of gang boss RSI captures just shows that it is possible, and that if you want to hide your pvp clothing to gain an advantage, you already can do so.
