Huh?  Since when were they "skanky" in the first place?  I thought the Gi was a nod/reference to FFOTO.

Anyways "de-skankifying"stuff in MxO could be a slippery slope...  I don't think we should go down that road.

Not to worry, I just spent sleep time on it instead. I'm kind of digging the pants thing, aka, the de-skankification of women's gis:

I'm just agreeing with what he said here.

Unfortunately people are bound to complain. It's a known fact that people get far louder when they want something changed or when they are unhappy. That is why the focus seems to be on the stuff people don't like.

The new guns, nice. The new farming in Datamine, I'll get to it when the swarm of mechs clears from the helipad (Least populated org my arse). The content in One Zero, will be a nice speedbump for my alts in the long grind to lvl 50, and I can sell them to make more cash.

All in all the update isn't exactly what I wanted  (I don't like the content in hostile FFA Zones) but a lot of people were asking for it so fair enough that they get what they want (Hopefully the next content will be outside of PvP and FFA zones). The female Gi however, it seems a VERY SMALL minority of people wanted it yet it still went through, that's why we take issue. A great deal of the community has been snubbed for the benefit of a few people.

We pay money for MxO, if we don't like something about it we have every right to complain. We don't have to be 'thankful' we pay for the content.
then unsub
Why would he? You can't force people to "deal with it". That's why we have these forums. We don't have them only for: Oh thanks devs you rock, thanks for the new content, etc etc.
How long have you all been playing MxO? We've had to "deal with it" since SOE took over.

There's ONE man adding content to a slowly dieing game, he even warned that it would be hard for him to get all the new weapons in this update and he did! ONE man gets to put a ton of hours in to make hundreds happy and all of you complain about a friggin Gi.  Give Rarebit some props for doing something that no one else will nor wants too.
No1 ever questioned the amount of work Rarebit has been doing, and he knows himself that he will be attacked by criticism on these boards about the new/changed content. And no we didn't have to "deal with it" since those changes happen, sometimes triggered by our ideas of changes/improvements. Rarebit is doing great work, and this is how he can get better at it, by interpreting what the community wants or what the game needs.
What you basically did was praise Rarebit, which was a good idea yes, but add no counter argument as to why we shouldn't have to deal with it. We pay $15 to play a game. If you simply do not enjoy said game, or it's direction, they don't get your $15 anymore. Also, if one were to unsub because female RSIs are de-skankified just a little bit, then you have a rough road ahead in life.

Why SHOULD we have to deal with it? Because Rarebit is one man.

Also: He made the decision to do it. Would you really want one patch to contain pants, a hotfix next week containing NO pants, then a weeks worth of flaming and pointless discussion only for it to be changed back again, and the cycle again repeats?
You are missing the point. If we had to deal with it we wouldn't have these boards to discuss the said changes.

No you're missing the point. You're complaining uselessly. Come a month from now if Rarebit doesn't change it, no one will care. They'll think about it in the back of their mind but no one will write on the forums about it.

Much better
LOL SD FTW. I'm in his boat here...it's pretty simple...

don't like the look of the new GIs? Then don't wear them. It changes absolutely nothing within gameplay.

P.s love the new guns, and the new stuff added to data mine is pretty impressive too. I used by crit mission IS reward by accident though SMILEY

Part of the game is the visuals changing the Gi's changes the visuals. Granted its not gameplay but the visuals are a inherent part of this game. (take useropts for example)

giggles

all the talk about the "de-skank-tif-i-cation of the gi. u guys know who said it and u know why they said it. it has already been discussed on another thread.

give it a rest; i think everyone agrees on giving us a choice is the best way to deal with this scenario.

i think a lot more people agree that the original gi should come back than there are people who want things to be more aesthetically pleasing and/or politically correct.

it was once said a long time ago that it is not the dress that makes the woman but the woman that makes the dress.

this crap about it being too racy or skanky or whatever is just letting people know just how seriously offtrack the people are that mention it in their post.

as far as rarebit is concerned; he probably didnt anticipate how passionate some people would be regarding the change he has made.

it is a part of the matrix online that came from the animatrix short film entitled final flight of the osiris

deal with it, this discussion should be over; there is no disputing these facts

we could put a suggestion to make a kiddie server for the children i suppose. keep the drama down a bit because they will be busy playing with lilttle kittens and puppy dogs

The initial download for an unpatched client will take a looong time. Definately have something else to do while it downloads.
