The XP and info boost (back from when SOE took over) should be startet up again. Maybe at every Live Event or at something special event or once each month for a short periode of time like 12 hours as an example. Shouldn't there be a chance like this in the future for newer players? XP and $Info Boost For a limited period of time after the new worlds come online, we'll also be increasing the amount of XP (experience points) and $Info (in-game currency) you can earn. The $Info bonus will apply to gang NPCs and the XP bonus will apply to both gangs and missions. It'll be the perfect time to start a new character in an open slot!

I could be wrong but wouldn't the settings for XP and $i require a server update? If so then small timescales wouldn't work. If not then /shrug, only thing I can see this affecting, other than new players or alts level increases, is the economy driving prices higher.

Exp gain (and maybe info gain too) is modified by a variable which Devs can change while the game is running. Having said that though, I don't really think we need a boost.

My god all this game needs is to be flooded with more, that's the ticket. The xp boost would be nice for new players and checking out other servers, but i don't see it happening. You can't phase something out by putting work into it. ~Darminian

I forgot to say, that i saw this as an extra feature for new players joining the game. There have been given out 1000 trial key's and this could maybe convince them to stay in game for some time. I really don't see any harm in this, other then we get a fun and some happy players.

As a new player (as opposed to an old player levelling an alt..the forum registration was a result of a botched trial) I wouldn't mind an XP boost at all. It's suddenly dawning on me that a Hostile server saturated with L50s is not the best environment for a fledgling L12.. LOL

I would say this is a very bad idea. Why do people want to get to 50 so fast? Grinding to 50 on a fast track bypasses all of the mid level content.
There is so much available to mid level players that gets missed out and then when you finally reach 50 you go.. uhm.. well what to do now? Oh i know.. ill pvp or collect. Spend time in the constructs, start Pandoras box at the entry level and try work your way through it, start working on the new ninja and sleepwalker content and dont forget all the contact missions etc spread around the city. This concept of racing to 50 is what truely kills the game imo. There is less to do with end game content than mid level. So enjoy it. Back on topic... an occasional XP/info boost would show the Devs are paying attention to the game and would bring a boost to morale.

Virtually just L12, sadly. I'm a casual player; I try and squeeze in an hour or so a day after work, and maybe a marathon session every couple of weekends. Been playing for about a fortnight.

No worries, just get with a group of others leveling and take your time. It's not that bad if you have friends.
As for an info boost I say no. There are many and I mean many people with way more info than they need. Even I have 200 million on my person which I think is high considering the most expensive item in game is 100 million. Minus the inflation we have on new items cause everyone has a billion info. I remember a time when buying something for 5-10 mill was tons, you would scoff at paying more than a few hundred K for enhanced clothes, stuff like that.
They need a info sink not to give us more easy info.
