Err... I guess that makes these our long awaited Org abilities then?

I would think that Org abilities would not be able to be used by those not of the right Org. As these pills are tradeable they would be able to be used by anyone regardless of Org. At least that's what I see.

Also, nice adjustment with the Satellite upload animation, very smooth!

Counter Concealment .. if you use it on a flagged player.. you should become flagged.  That's worse than blue rezzing and buffing...  you're completely taking action in PvP.. in the moment.. and you aren't attackable.

That's like in a war, you can walk up to the enemy shooting at your allies.. take away his gun and he can't do anything to you whatsoever.

I'm glad it works, and I'll use it while I'm flagged.. otherwise .. lame.

The fundemental problem if I recall with Blue Rezing is when a player dies on a non hostile server their pvp flag is removed so when they are rezed the Rezer doesn't flag due to their target no longer being flagged for pvp.

Not as easy to resolve as the Counter measure tool.

Meaning you're gonna fix it? Meaning that someone that uses it on a flagged player, they will become flagged? SMILEY

i dont know if this is already something known to most players or not, but last week i found another entrance into the white hallways in international.  In Ikebukuro, iside the parking lot near the central HL.

I'm going to check now to see if its still there, wasnt sure if it was a glitch or what.  But if not, it makes me wonder if there is one in each District....  ?

There's no 'Central' hardline in Ikebukoro that I know of, do you mind posting the coordinates of the door?

Thanks, I'll go have a look.  I wonder if the Ascension door does anything now.

Animation feedback:

The signal Booster Dish animation seems to have been toned down too much.  It's completely transparent at the extremes and still very translucent even at the middle.  While the old one was too loud and obnoxious, especially when there were a lot of Portable Signal Booster Dishes around, the new one isn't noticeable enough.  I suggest adding a few green code symbols trailing from the rings, along the lines of the "loot me" animation on dead NPCs, though less bright and fewer code symbols with shorter streams.  There is a tendency to over compensate when toning something down, effectively nerfing it altogether.

Stuff I'm going to regret typing:

I can feel the waves of hate coming my way already, but I'm going to say this anyway... there is no such thing as Blue Buffing.  If a buffer buffs someone who is flagged, the buffer becomes flagged as well.  If he's buffing someone who isn't flagged, then it isn't a PvP situation.  Even if the buffie flags up when the buffer is done, the "fix" would mean forcing both buffer and buffie to flag any and every time any buff is applied.  If that's what you want, go to Vector.  Now to make things worse for myself...

The combat system used to have some horrible bugs which would allow an attack to succeed even if the attacked character was already dead.  This resulted in all sorts of other bugs, including being stated and/or flagged while dead.  The last of the bugs from this are only now being fixed.  Under the old system, res would not work on someone in another org who was flagged.  The system would report "Target is not a dead friend."  The way things are now, someone of any org can be resed by someone of any org.  Unless the resser knows the target, this can result in bringing back someone from another org. Sure, you can target the dead person and use variables or /who to find out their faction (if they have one) but if the player or faction isn't known, it's still a matter of guesswork whether it will be a friend or foe being brought back to life.  This is what makes res balanced as it is.  Since the corrected system rightly removes all flags and states at death, there is no game mechanic which would make "Red Ressing" possible.  Whether it was  incidental or deliberate, "Blue Ressing" is by design and that's the way it should be.
I'm very pleased that the game mechanics support my position because the alternative is tantamount to removing res altogether.  Even a [technically impossible under the current system] dialog along the lines of "Reviving this RSI will allow other players to attack you as hostile.  Proceed?" would be a farce, as it would effectively remove Doctors from PvP altogether, which seems to be aim of those who complain that Doctors actually have one useful ability. Consider the following situation.  Loaded as Doctor, a player is running a mission with a team.  He happens upon a dead player.  Being the helpful sort (the type who goes Doctor in the first place) he decides to res the hapless fellow.  Ooops!  The dead guy had been PvPing, and now the good Samaritan is flagged and, having no decent defensive or offensive abilities, is soon dead himself, probably from an incredibly cowardly type of player who attacks those who can not possibly harm the attacker or defend themselves.  So much for the Team and Mission the doctor was trying to be a part of.  Let's say one of his Teammates comes to his rescue, after diverting to a hardline to load res.  Well, now he's flagged too.  This is forcing people to PvP when they don't want to, which would negate the whole idea of a non-hostile server.  If you want all PvP all the time with no Blue Ressers, go to Vector.  If you are on Recursion or Syntax, accept the fact that you do not have the right to force people to flag when they don't want to; that's reserved for the admins.  I question the moral substance of those who would want to kill even a flagged Doctor.  These are usually the same people who complain about tactics boosters not being "honorable" but then turn around and kill a defenseless doctor who's only trying to help people.  We've had more than enough of the type who think that anything that doesn't guarantee them a PvP kill needs to be "fixed."  There are fair, balanced and correct mechanisms in place which allow the possibility of withdrawal, retreat and recovery and this is as it should be.

Whilst I can't say I dislike the current animation for signal booster, (I actually think the phasing in and out of transparency/translucency looks quite good) I have to agree with PS10N here.

The only comment I can make is that if in a PVP situation one side is flagged and ready and the other side are blue and being buffed in front of the opposing side, waiting for all members to be buffed before flagging up, it's a bit cheeky!

Wow, I'm stunned.  Now I feel like anything is possible...  We agree on something.  Kissy kissy make up?  No, didn't think so.

I hope this isn't the official miracle for this year, though I will put it way up there in the improbable and unexpected range.

Just because we have... differences in opinion on political terms, doesn't mean I have disagree with you over Simulation protocals! This is possibly one topic we could agree on so depending on how many more sensible... queries you post about system protocals, don't expect many more supporting posts by me.

((Stop dragging me into RP on these threads! I try to keep RP in the LE threads or similar! But yeah, I agree on the most part with your previous post))

Only reason I even mentioned blue rezzing and buffing is because people complain about it all the time.. personally, I have no strong stance for or against it.  To me, blue rezzing is the same as reconstruction.  I have no beef with buffing or doctors or anything like that at the moment.

My problem is using counter-concealment tool against a flagged player.. and not becoming flagged.  Along that line of reasoning: the disable evasion tool/ability should also not flag someone who uses it (though it does, and rightly so).

Best things about this patch;
CC works,
Whitehallways are great,
Shadow pills are fantastic,
Portable signal booster animation isn't so flashy.
