no problem Shadow-SK, I think the reason people are behind it, is because everyone wants it. look in the "what bugs you the most-partIII" thread, it's what people want the most, you have devised a simple to implement solution, and this thread will be bumped untill it is implemented, period.

Actually the RSI customization issue was only brought up a once in the 4 full pages of that thread.

The topics that the majority of posters were "bugged" with were (most popular to least popular, obviously I can't list them all... well, I could heh, but I won't!):

PVP outfits being non-matrix / Clothing in general /  Marketplace / Hyperspeed code / Faction Panel use (or lack of) / Inventory being too small /  Code Archive being too small / Lag /  /CCR responses (being, well, bad) / and then RSI customization... and others that were brought up as well.

I do agree, however, that this is a wonderrrrful... really wonderful idea, actually. I just happened to be very bored at 4am and decided to tally things that most people wanted or didn't want in said specific thread.

You know, brown on it's own isn't a ugly color. But having no choice other than mixing it with a green vest and magenta pants with buckles is just wrong. On top of that I have to wear snakeskin boots too. And if that isn't ugly enough I wear gloves that I would only wear when I ride a bike and not when I wear a decent vest with a tie.

I finally found a nice shirt I was after today, but its green. *pullhair
If we could decomp clothing and re code with the color we wanted that
would be cool. but it seems it would be easier to put in this mask idea.

sounds good in theory, but not good in the long run.

As Tytanya said, it breaks spy disguises, but more than that, it would have to be re applied after death, and also would require alot of crap in the data base for each persons unique look, I would rather see a change to the coding system that allowed for buffs from one item to be applied to another.

Cryptography was never intended to do that, because the database/clothing system is not modular - buffs cannot be removed or reassigned to any other piece of clothing.

Yea I think this is a great idea, a nice solution to the "we can't buff our clothes problem."  Doesn't seem too difficult to implement, but we shall see.

yep, that is the one obvious issue they need to look into.
Ideally the RSI Manipulator would be applied, then if someone used a disguise that appears, when the disguise is finished or the player dies, the RSI they saved should come back. The manipulated RSI should only be turned off when the user says so.

And just for the sake of putting something here... it's a wonderful idea!  Then we need 'wave-able' trenches.
