Nice to see the perp numbers... though I'm also surprised there have been that many given out.

What you might be thinking though, is I'm sure a little under 50% of the people who have those perpetuals probably don't either log in that often or just don't play, which would create the illusion in which you might not think that there are that many perpetuals out there to begin with.

As you said, though, you don't see nearly that many around so the perception is what makes it surprising.
