Obviously it is made out of rocks with a distinctly matte finish.

Well that settles that, it's made from rocks that aren't very shiney. I guess thats why it's so rigid... >.>

Brush up on your MxO development history before you start questioning things, there is a reason that the FM-700 isn't called a desert eagle in game.

I believe Misene is a location, not a material.

They made up Misene to be a brand name, much like Dread Leather Skirts (Dread is the brand) unless you believe the leather was cured in the emotion itself. Same with Avero and Braela shirts, just brand names they made up to help distinguish all the clothing.

But if you want to leave it as a matte finish could you change the name to have leather in it, thus removing any misunderstanding.

Or he could just leave it how it is. Whether it's leather, imitation leather or something else, we can see it's not a very shiny material as it is right now. As long as the name doesn't have 'shiny' in it, unless it was a brand name, it doesn't really matter. Just because it doesn't have 'leather' in it's title doesn't mean it has to be shiny.

There are many many many many many non shiny and matte coats for males in the game. And no shiny ones for people who want them, doesn't it make sense to cater for both sides?

Sure. Just not my coat that I have sown to my characters skin Kthnx bai!

Back to reality I think that a lot of people like the laminated coats but then a lot of people like the coat we have now. Personally if they increased the shine a little I wouldn't mind too much but I think if we get the wrapped in cling film effect again then I will not be happy.

To be fair it was shiny first and I loved it that way, so it was sown into my skin first.

Well it's not shiny now and I doubt it will be ever again.

Plus I've been wearing the coat since the beginning of CR2.

Now that I think about it, the Panel Trench was never shiny.  Prior to the "Shiny Patch", they were all dull.  The only ones I recall having any shine were the collarless versions.

Which is exactly the one I was wearing in the screenshot. A screenshot taken back before RSI pills even came out cause I still had red hair.

Ah, I see now.  Perhaps the thread title needs to be updated since these are technically two entirely different coats.

I do miss how they used to look. But, I think they look more real-life like how they are now.
