It seems something may have gone wrong, SutoikkuIchiban. No sooner than the virus was released an antidote was created and apparently spread across all three Instances.

The only one that I can think of is Qu0ta of Recursion. Perhaps Barnsley asked him to create one in order to fulfill his dream of returning to Agent status. Or perhaps that meddlesome Tranque.

I've had this issue since Update 66. I don't think this has anything to do with SOE's recent mistakes. The solution is always one of the following:

-Close your browser if you have one open.

Why this works, I have no idea. There shouldn't really be any issue with a browser open but I'm not gonna complain if it works.

-If it doesn't work the first time, you must open Task Manager and manually close the process.

For some reason, matrix.exe doesn't always close when you shut down the launcher. If you try again, and it doesn't work keep shutting down the failed attempts.

-Use Station Launcher

Station Launcher usually has a higher chance of authenticating for me. Probably something to do with the fact that you're already partially logged in.

Indeed I have noticed. There of course is a logical reason behind it. However, contrary to what many of them believe the Architect his "staff", so to speak, are not the reason behind the issue.

Perhaps. It's always a possibilty. I do experiment with viruses and such. Most recently, I attempted to create an artificial sample of the Black Angel Virus. I'm sure Tosuno would not care for such a thing but it seems the real thing has left my grasp.

Indeed. During his returned, I managed to sample his RSI. And in doing so, I obtained the Chimera Strain that became a part of him. I also sampled Sickly's Virus during his ongoing battles with F22, a former Cypherite.

So what then...you did all this yourself?

Indeed. I combined the viruses and although the results were not what I expected they have turned out to be entertaining at the least. It's as if I singlehandedly placed the Simulation on hold, hmm? And by transmitting the virus data to the Recursion and Vector Instances using my NavronClone and NavronSimulacrum, it certainly caused more chaos than I expected.

That would not be the first I've been told that. Although, I am working on an antidote to cure myself of the Virus concoction.

My main on Syntax (Navron) has a part of him that acts pretty ghetto. (I.E. ##Nah, you trippin' dawg. You ain't pickin' up what I'm puttin' down, ya dig?##) There was actually a point of time where everyone thought I was Banshae, since I'm always in RP mode and I never really talk OOC anymore expect in faction chat and whispers.

This update screwed my MxO so badly. I tried logging in after the Update and it told me that I had some corrupted files. So I ran the system scan thingy that's available through the launcher. It did some stuff and I got some "unexpected result". Code -30, I think. Anyway, I closed the launcher and tried to run it again and my laptop crashed. When I restarted it, it said there was some problem with the shortcut on my desktop. So I tried running the program from the actual folder and it told me that I had to run MxO from the shortcut on the desktop. Somehow, my shortcut got deleted and didn't end up in the Recycle Bin. And now, I can't do anything at all. And I really don't feel like re-installing because the probablility of it happening again is high. And that's a long time to patch everything. >_>

Any ideas or suggestions?

It's been nearly a month now. There has been no trace of Tosuno, IPenta or anyone else related to the matter. Perhaps it would be best if we continue on a different path, hmm?

Agreed. A confrontation with the Spectrum would not be in our best interest. However, Viral is not the only one. There is also Mendelevius, no? It would be easier to obtain a sample from him. To go after Viral would no doubt cause that group to pursue us as well.

I assumed there are those who specialize in decoding such as this. I certainly have no clue as to what it means nor do i have any hints to what it may be. Perhaps the numbers are in Base X and must be converted to Binary before a conversion to something understandable. That seems to often be a common decoding method.

Ya...about that. Its more like doing something that has no reward. You get a CQ point but you cant buy anything with them, or obtain any epic gear or what have you. There was the Blue rezzers, the fighting near a hardline, and the blue shotting all because some Dev wanted to open PvP to the city instead of it being in the PvP constructs.
PvP constructs turned into Farming constructs and heaven forbid you kill anyone in there, you get a earful of someone crying you killed them cause they were farming in a PvP construct.
I don't want to start a huge debate on this in your thread, mainly because most of what you said is true. You're right, there is no physical or even virtual reward for PvPing. But, myself and mainy other are rewarded by the fun that PvPing can bring, just buy participating. I'm not saying that that's enough to keep paying for this game, because it certainly isn't, but it is one thing that hasn't really been effected by Rarebit's leave.

That's probably because it doesn't require much to PvP. As long as there's a somewhat steady population, there's such to be PvP. And from what I've seen, people seem to enjoy PvPing just to prove thier skills or getting CQ. I, personally, am not a PvPer. But there's no risk of PvPing ever dying out.
