Zampano is a veteran of the war of the machines. Older than most of his comrades, his wisdom and experience is trusted and regularly sought.
The Real World has always been his primary interest. From the earliest days after his awakening he has been an explorer and traveller of the surface and many artefacts and antiques of the past line the shelves in his cabin.
Trained in Medicine and Scientific procedure, widely read and always eager to seek knowledge, many consider Zampano a wise man. Many do not...but we can forgive their ignorance
Zampano is blind within the matrix, his sight robbed of him when he was freed by a powerful Exile, known only as The Librarian. Since then he has grown accustomed to living without sight in the dream world of the matrix, indeed, sight to him now would show less than he can perceive at present. His senses have more than compensated for his blindness...and yet, at times, he laments the loss of sight.
A loyal friend.
