I tested the new mission to get the RSI hack, released with Update 9. It's an escorting mission type, covering almost the whole distance from the northern part of Richland to the south. If the path is chosen to follow the streets, the mission can be completed without fighting any NPC at all.
The only challenge about this is that it's time consuming and that the escorted NPC is level 1. Even the price of the mission is ridiculously cheap, compared against the reward and its effects.
We asked for flexibility on getting the hack, but Pandora's are more challenging and their rewards are on a similar level. Please, don't make it too easy. I know I want to have a challenge if I decide to change my attributes to support a new ability loadout.

I did this mission and failed it two times before I completed it. It is challenging and it is fresh - soething that The Matrix Needs. Why cant we have these kind of missions where we get special items simular to Pandoras Box? Like a spin off Quest as it were. Everyso oftern there would be a Missin where Seraph needed you to escort someone, to the Oracle maybe? Who knows.

This mission was fun. I enjoyed it. Lost my temper at it because he is a lv 1 and died a few times, but overall was amazigness. Well done SOE!

um you have to understand that the way everything works and needed to change your loadout, this was needed , moreso now with the new combat system so people can play about with there stats at the start, so make it too hard and then people will get fustrated...

I understand what you said, but the mission, as I said, it's too easy. Let's face it, the typical low level players won't change their attributes often, because they lack the abilities and the info to keep all the trees.

Don't take me wrong. I agree that the new Combat system must be learn, but this is a mission that a level 50 can do quickly. There's no challenge at all. It's even a 1 stage mission!

Combat Revision became a cry to nerf hackers and everything else, but Martial Artists. The cheapness of the mission makes me wonder. Why don't keep it as a 100 info item sold by vendors? It's easier and you can change your attributes as often as you like.

The reason why is that this mission, however easy it is, takes some time to complete. You can't just walk around the corner, buy a hack, do your stats and come back as an uber-whatever class. You could flip this way once, by having a hack on your RSI, but to flip again after that takes however long the mission takes you.

CR2 is not intended to make it impossible, or even really hard, to switch between trees. Make it too hard and I would consider that a nerf of existing gameplay, as one of the coolest things about MXO is how you can switch between trees. What it is intended to do is to add some differentiation, and make you a little more invested in your stats.

Frog, I'm not talking about making impossible the class switching, but the mission should be more challenging, because as I said before, the higher levels are the ones more susceptible to want to change their attributes.

I understand that the current system can't be compared with CR 2.0, but in any case MxO has given the RSI hack just once and that make us to weight what kind of class we would like to strenght. Make the mission worth for it, please.

P.S. It toke me less than 15 minutes to complete the mission, that's not too much time either.

Psst, either send your proxy ahead to kill the guys off, or just tell the bluepill to wait behind while you go off and kill 'em SMILEY

I have to agree with the OP, this does seem a tad too easy to me. Like I said in my post, Raising the cost to a more reasonable $1,000,000 and/or adding in a few mobs seems like a better idea to me.

Frog, will this follow a simular suit to City of Heroes? I know on that game you are limited to Stack 4 respecs and are available at levels 20, 30 and 40. However once you have attained all 4 respecs and they are used, you cannot respec accordingly. Overall, I like the mission. Just want these missions to be more readily where an NPC Seraph or NPC Oracle, NPC Niobe or NPC whoeverisimportant  to do some co-ordinating and worth while.
Maybe even doing a mission like this to earn those proized Beta clothes, or Beta Abilities SMILEY

nope, RSI hacks won't work like that. You will be able to get any number of them, but you can only have one in inventory at a time.

Where would a lvl 10 earn 1mil info at?

Keep in mind this has to work at all levels (within reason of course).

The mission idea is great, I have'nt done it myself so I can't say anything about difficulty. However I would think that a three part (or more) mission would be best. I think the dev's are going for making someone take some time to get the hack instead of just poof buying it, changing stats and heading back into a pvp fest.
