What about giving LESIG the ability to org-lock buildings and make org broadcasts? Is that possible to do?
Those will be Admin commands and LESIG characters will be on normal accounts as it would be risky giving Admin accounts to players even if they have been vetted first.
I think it would be just as effective to have an /oc (Org chat channel) we can all use.
Spawn tools = Cool.
Spawn tools given to players = lol, you're kidding.
In SWG, the spawn tool works a lot differently than what I'm assuming Rarebit will be giving to the LESIG members. I honestly don't really like the idea of giving it to LESIG, not that it's because I don't trust them, it's just I don't want to be on the wrong end of the stick when one of the LESIG quits and goes spawn-crazy or something. Also, non-tradeable plox, but I'm sure that's what was going to be implemented anyways.
EDIT-
Also, just to go over a couple of things. I didn't catch the "approved" part, thanks for pointing that out AltDimension, so that makes me feel a little better.
And I have to say, even though it's taken some time for this to happen, but there's usually a liaison or two on all hours of the day, crossing all servers, so I really can't point out LESIG as being inactive anymore. A lot of people don't really understand that liaisons arn't going to just show up when you feel like it, you've got to go out there, send them a PM, send them an e-mail, and if that doesn't work, do it again. If that still doesn't work, you've got another or even another liaison to talk to, and hopefully at least one them logs on once or twice a week. I mean granted, 2 out of 45 (just off the top of my head, granted I know all positions are never filled) possible liaisons isn't that great of an odd, but it's better than it was. It could still be better, but the drama conflicting around LESIG is really great, and I can't really talk down on them when there are times when I just don't feel like logging on, or I don't really want to RP, or w/e. I used to really criticize those in LESIG, but now I can sort of see where they're coming from, and sometimes you just need to draw this line between what it could be, and what it is.
Also, inb4lesigdramaget.

It's simply not an effective method of distribution, if there were to be one. That said, I still agree with the decision not to make this function fully public simply because of the amount of abuse it would see, and the lack of any real functioning way to implement a system which would put a halt on this abuse before it began.Oh, and I don't think missioning for/buying code bombs/pulses would work, either... Those things lag the server like no tomorrow (at least they did the last time I saw them, when fake Morpheus the third set off oh, say 5, which is about one tenth the damage your average MxO player could cause). You'd have to go through a requisition system to get one of those, and even then, you'd only get one. A mission or something would be neat, but it'd either have to cost a ridiculous amount of money (I'm talking more than the org key - possibly over five times as much) or there would have to be some sort of significant restriction placed upon it which currently does not exist within the MxO system. Maybe hand them out as consumable live event rewards here and there in the future somehow? That seems the only way to control them, though, honestly, there's not a live event character out there who'd be open to giving those out since they're all hippies. Maybe Mikey'd give out a few pulses, though.well with such millions $i mission ticket, at least it also becomes a money sinker as well. So why should they waste their money for just such cool animation. Also i'm sure IF they used it as a way to Lag people oue we can just toggle the effects off.

You know, now that I think about it, they could be easily implemented as a non-consumable item with a 300 second cooldown after each use implemented as a chapter reward for doing something like 1.2 for all orgs (since that's a longass subchapter and the one based around code bombs). That'd be win in my eyes.
As cool as it would be to have such a tool, I see it being horribly abused and ruining lots of fun. Imagine the poor chaps loitering around who get spawns thrown on them out of the blue by someone looking for a quick joke.
I'm a friend of mini-events, so the spawn-tool is very, very nice!
It would be great for player-events, but dangerous too. At the moment we have the possibility to let NPC spawn with Pandora-Boxes. Maybe it would be good to make them tradable.
