Try the following thing when you get the error : Restart the launcher and try again.

It seems that the auth server (not the launchpad server)sometimes doesnt answer the 0x55 Request (only with an ACK and not with data).

SicFaith..no i HAD played Free-Realms, some weeks ago, but only for some days (after that i see that SOE has forgot to make a long time sense in the game ).

So its not very interesting for me , and no i am not playing Free Realms any longer (and the same to other SOE Games, which i never was interested in ).

Yes, as the producer, it does ultimately land on me when things go wrong for MxO. I won't argue that fact or point fingers in other directions. If I inject a bit of humor at this point, it's because I'm disappointed as well--both in the ending of MxO and in not finding ways to change the direction of the game.

Is there more I could have done? I'm sure there was. Hindsight can bring things into unfortunate and painful clarity at times. So I try to remember all the good things about this game and it's community and hope to learn from past mistakes so I can do better in the future. Too late for MxO, sadly. But not too late for any future projects I'm responsible for.

I wish we could keep at least one server open. The option was looked into, but it wasn't feasible. So we have to retire the game and that makes me immensely sad. I understand the anger completely.

It is what i said a half year ago...SOE only bought the license to build up there DC Comic game. Yes Walrus..you had make many more with MxO , starting with new fresh content (new level ranges, Destricts etc.) ..and not with CR2.0 .

You must said and know : after CR2 came, the most people left the Game.
You had make a lot more than that.

SOE wont see that changes that is disadvantage for the players, are not good for the community. EVERY Gaming Company know that, but SOE doesnt learn this from SWG and not from MxO.

They have make 2 Matrix Games..maybe there are interest too (sure, not the best matrix games, but not really worth at all^^).

The other thing is, we dont know if WBIE is interested to sell the license again.

And : Yes Server Emulation is nearly impossible. You maybe able to bypass the Auth , and maybe you can find out how world packets work, but margin server will not reconnect after login.

MxO has not much lol, but it has the best decryption every seen in an online game

The Problem is the license fee i think.
I dont know how high it would be, but for MxO it would be a very high price i think.

So the most other companys in USA/EU are only publishing stupid korean MMORPGs, cause they are cheap.

But we can checkout how other Company maybe have the money and the interest :

- Outspark (www.outspark.com)
- NCSoft (sure korean guys, not the best idea i know..)
- Lith (would be great, but i think there is no chance for it)

i am working in germany as Community Manager for an another Sport MMO, but i know how important it is to speak more to the community.

SOE got so many feedback from us how to improve the game, but they didnt not much which is it, and then they was wondering why everything wents to hell.

Yeah i liked the Matrix Online too, it was my first MMORPG , and it is a unique MMORPG Type. There is no similiar MMORPG like the Matrix Online out there.

That's a very good point.  We have purchased the game.  Therefore, if you don't provide us with a means of playing it offline, we should be able to demand a refund for it.

That was before SOE had the copyright for it.

The only chance what we have : asking developers of MxO Servers , means , Rarebit, Raijin, and the others that was fired after SOE takes MxO Over (there is a list on the internet who was worked for what in mxo).

Yes Monolith was the best was MxO had.

I didnt really understand why WBIE solds the rights to SOE.
The Game runs more as good at Lith, and i think WBIE expectes more.

But SOE did the advantages like with CR2.

I dont think Lith will take it back, or an another company is interested in the game.

But : What i really really dont understand , SOE had do several ways with the game.
Why dont try to make a "item shop" game with Mxo? Means more players are playing and maybe a better chance to make money with the game.

This is a bug.  It's broken.  It needs to be fixed.  I want to be able to fight in WM the same way I do everywhere else.

...and if it is fixed , more players from the few players that are actualliy playing mxo , would leave.

I know the "good old days" , before cr2 , where you could go into the archive , load your hacker or gunner tree and you could kill the boss in less than 20 seconds I ve killed gargolye with this over 400 times only to get the glasses (and i didnt get the glases in this way^^).

My Opinion : dont fix it .

So many things that arent really bugged , was fixed , and then many players leave.

The players dont discuss on the forum about , they only leaving.

After CR2 i testet to kill the boss in lvl50 archive zero one with the balista tree....i had no chance to defeat him , this is frustated to the game , and this is not movitaved.

So leave gargolye in the actually stage it is.

Hm .. i think that SOE is not very interessted in MxO.

I dont think that MxO has a great future -.- .

The Reasons :

- No Real Live Event
- No New Game content like new levels (lvl50 above).
- SOE bought the license only for the *poop* Comic Game from Warner Bros
- The players leaving and leaving ... it was not so empty in the years before like today -.-
- The Mission System is still boring and its the same Missions you must doing.

So no Dev would spent time and money in a game that has a few players .

The Combar Revision is very useless . It was developed for the main reason to fix the unbalanced trees..but , if SOE hat implemented the Zen Master Tree (to remove negative buggs like stun^^) or set the stun rate from 30 sek. to 20 or so , then CR2 is useless.

The Thing is , SOE didnt implement CR2 for the reason of balancing . They implemt it cause they made it at their other games ..i think it was so : "hmm what should we do at first?" "lets implement CR2 ...copy and paste it from the SWG source code and then fix the bugs" "uhm okay" .

Only for the work on CR2 , SOE must be canceled the Live Events for the while ..and then user for user has left MxO .

MxO has at the moment a low population , cause of the Missing Events and CR2 and many more changes (some things that SOE had make was good ..like the hallways , the PB ).

And SOE is at the moment on the right way to bring mxo back up , with the last good updates (never seen befor so good updates , like the RSI Consumbable, CQ Points Comand etc.) and i hope the Event with the Smith code will be good

But i dont think that the gone player come back -.- . I hope (i am from germany so i hope there will be soon more german players ^^) they will come back.

yeah cr2 is worse, but let us search the reason WHY SOE think CR2 must be a part of mxo.

The first reason is, they want to use the same copy of combat system like EQ , SWG and so on.

CR2 is just a source code copy i think. The Developers copied the source of the EQ CR and paste it into mxo...or why do you think the patch was over 600MB large on the QA and the update 42 patch 14MB?

Cause 586MB are bugs lol,cause EQ is not compatible with MxO *just jokeling*

There is no logik in this system why someone wins and why not. You cant test your load because you dont see why you are loosing or winning. Thats not the Idea of an Combat System.

I can write a "hello world" programm ,that has more sense then cr2.^^

CR2 was not ready to lift of at this time, and i wish they would roll back the patch.

The Best Solution is to build 1 or 2 EU Server in the EU(1.PvP 2.Non-PvP). ,transfering the EU Accounts by writing a petition and then make Live Events on EU Times.

Cause..the times are not the only problem.

In the live event , there was so many laggs .

At one meeting with niobe , i think there was 50 up 70 zions or more , and the lag was unplayable.it was horrible. Ive got a ping from 1400ms .

The Hardlines in richland was 70-80% red, unusable, cause of too many players.

The merge was a very very bad idea.

So now mine..

i have at the moment 35 mil .

I am Lvl50 and have the following lvl upped.

Ability , Weapon , Appereal Maker on Lvl50 (the rest lvl40) , Proxy Master , Utility Master

Kung Fu , Ballista, Howitzer , Destroyer , Ravange (i think it is named so) .

Data Miner LvL40 , Spy lvl30 i think .

EDIT: if have forgot my lvl30 doctor^^

So i do at the moment only collecting info cuz to lvl up all abilties..and not to wait to collect money^^
